I have *NEVER*, ever had to bring my diploma to a job like "ey look at me, look at this right here. This my diploma."

Just say "Yes, I graduated." Pick a high school and pick the year you would have graduated.

Most people don't check anyways. I tell people I graduated highschool but i really have a GED. I got some post education and 6 years in the military under my belt so none of that shit really matters anymore anyways
