I had whippings growing up(not all the time), but just wanted to point out that there are various ways to discipline. Discipline doesnt only mean whippings. Whipping is a form of discipline, just like "time out" and punishment, no allowance, etc.

With that said, I'm sure most people(if not all) had some form of disciplinary action taken towards them.

I saw this vid and read comments and laughed. Me, my brother and sisters use to get beat all the time with a belt and hangers. My parents never aimed for the head or stomach tho. Always on the ass, legs or a vicious pinch to the tricep area haha. Never traumatized us. We crack jokes about it when we are all together to be honest.

They disciplined us. It taught us to be respectful and think twice about doing something we know we shouldnt. My parents didnt do know "timeout" or put us in the corner boolchit. my oldest niece was doing bad in school. I talked to her about it on the phone and let her know she was going the wrong route. I told her there's nothing wrong with getting some help from after school tutoring programs. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that talked to her about it, but I know she heard me. last I heard she got into the after school programs and she's doing well in school now. no belts needed.
