I think that fab must be doing his thing if he's a new cat in the game and put in the same sentence as forty. E-40 has long past paid his dues and is finally getting some mainstream love, and fab is getting it when he's still pretty fresh. I say good for both of them.

it just breaks down like this as an artist u have a responsibility. What does the word sellout mean? Why was the term ever put out there in music in the first place? To sell means that you are apparently getting money for it. This money apparently has to be more then what you've been having and must be tempting enough to compromise what it is you do in music. If somebody came to 40 offered him some money to change his style and to be something he is not then yes he sold out! Period point blank. I don't know if 40 did that i'm not in his personal affairs to see that part. All i have is his old music and this new shit to state my opinion on. I was once told the proof was in the putting well we all see what was put! But i can judge no man because i haven't walked in their shoes all i know is i've was one of e-40's biggest fans from the beginning til around early 2006! But hey there are deeper politics that rappers are looking at today and its not about the music and the love of the art its about $$$$$$$$ and thats the politics that are running the rap game and the world today. I just wonder when does moral responsibility take place when your telling these babies to get dumb stupid retarded and every other negative part of the game now i'm not one of the most positive rappers but i'm real and there is no dollar sign that will stop me from being me! Maybe that's why i haven't blown up yet because i refuse to compromise that part about myself! My 38 cents

yeah i feel you on that. i liked e-40's old albums better than my ghetto report card. and even mistah f.a.b., tracks he made on son of a pimp are better then most of his new songs liker ghost ride it. that song is garbage. but i understand exactly what you mean by e-40 and mistah f.a.b. not takin as serious.
exactly how i feel.

E-40's music for sure, Mistah FAB dont know. That E-40 album was dope, imo one of best of 2006. Not everything on that album was hyphy maybe two tracks.

And Mistah FAB has suprised me with this new track he just dropped today "Get it Together" doesnt really sound like that typical "go dumb" shit actually says something besides that in the song

You can't be serious ^^^ that whole album was hyphee shit except maybe 2 songs it sucked in comparision of all his old shit!! BOttOMLINE! It was like a generic Mac Dre riding the hypher thizz tip! BUt whatever of course his lyrics will alway be ridiculous i just think i needs to go back to Mike mosley and sam bostic and renew his shit i promise if he would of had those type on shit on this album he would have went 3 time plat because the world would of got that real e-40 but i guess this is what the game has come in the bay 1 love to Messy Marv the last bay nigga that i know of thats standing on that real bay shit not this new school shit. I use to love that old school bay shit the e-40, master p(when he was from the bay), richie rich, spice 1, r.b.l posse, imp, cougnut, too short, tu pac, the click albums d-shot, b-legits shit, jt the bigga figga, the 415 and to many more to name thats when the bay was hard now i'm hard to find a solid group of 5 that is handling. let me take that back because i know the bay got heat i'm hard pressed to find a group of 5 that out there that i'd know of... Mista Fab i can't comment on because i never heard him but 2-3 times.

But please don't get it twisted 40 could come right back with the real this next album. He has to much under his belt to count him out yet i can just say IMO this last album sucked and if this one is the same then i can't really fuck wit his music no more but shit i'm just one person but i'm sure there are many who feel like me.

40's a vet who can still lace the beat when he really want to but fabby confuse the fuck outta me. He'll put out hella weak hyphy shit but his album, which was fire, son of a pimp only had like 2 or 3 hyphy songs on it. NOw he tryna go nationwide with ghostride it(Strait Trash).now i hear his song Get it Together and i wonder why that ain't his first single. Fabby is falling into the commercial music trap when he should be puttin out his non-hyphy shit

if 40 goes back to mob shit then the cd will go platinum at least. his last cd was aight imo. if 40 fonzarelli new cd has a couple hyphy songs thats ok with me. people where im from still bought "my ghetto report card" and still supported the legend. thats how it goes in my town. we bump legends like 40 no matter what they drop

i don't like the direction Sick Wit It is going with their production and their artists. The whole roster and music catalog, as of late, has been lacking. They bringing a new sound to their label that is turning alot of their long time listeners/supporters away(me being one of them.......even though i like turf's single alot...I got Chips). It's important to evolve and everything, but if it's not broke don't fix it.

I've noticed that e-40's appearance on other artist's songs sound better than his own songs. Most of it has to do with the other artist's production being better. The Bay Bridge comp. was alright(a few good tracks but nothing worth purchasing........same goes for Nump, The Mossie, Droop-E, and whoever is on Sick Wit Rec. that released an album in '05-'06).

Done Deal/Deal Done has the best roster and has some of the best production coming out of their artist's albums. And they're going to surpass Sick Wit It(if they havn't already) and are going to continue(i hope so) putting out those albums that anyone in the U.S. will feel and cop.

u think what a few people that a fewfrom all different places doesn't count? Thats how censuses are done with 5% margins of era in government elections and what not they interview 100 people and see what they think and usually the consensus is pretty accurate and if you don't understand i'm saying what a bunch of people say that don't know each other like myself and dude right above u. I promise that this feeling is all over the usa namely areas that purchase this shit!
