The CD is decent enough, not worth 15 though. And you can throw the dvd out right when you get it. The only thing good on it was quinn's verse from "the wolves come out," sounds alot better on the dvd.

am i the only one on this site who noticed 90% of the people that hate on peoples albums on her are "rappers" themselves?
....well we are the ones that support each other by actually BUYING the album, so our opinion (good or bad) DOES matter.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion here.....Explosive Mode 2 slapped all the way through...dont get me wrong.....but it is a terrible follow up to the original....in other words, NOT worth the 7 year wait..basically this should not have been named "explosive mode >>>"2"<<<<" It should have just been "Back In Business"....there is no Rappin-4-Tay, no E-40, no Sky Balla, no decent features...no Rich The Factor, no Marveless, no Celly Cel......the production (dont let me get started) where is Nick Peace? Rich The Factor? Mike Mosely? or Tone Capone? And (last but not least) 10 TRACKS...COME ON! (the other tracks were probably the one's on "Scrapers, Stunnas & White Tees"). The first Explosive Mode set a standard for these two rappers. Their following solo albums met the criteria (Still Explosive, I give you My Word, Disobayish, The Rock....etc.). But I feel this was a waste. Anyone with me or against me...reply

at the end of the day your still a fan haha

this shit hella clean, i didnt think it was gonna be all that either. im really surprised on how good this shit is, production is on point
I'm with the second point of view, hands down.

I listened to the whole album 3 times on the weekend and in my ride on the way to work today with the sun shining, and its funny but I was thinking the exact opposite, to me it sounded like a perfect sequel to the first album.

Explosive Mode was and is an all time classic, and 7 years or no 7 years you ain't going to top that. But like Meelo I was pleasantly surprised, they actually did a damn good job, the production is off the hook.

This was not the album I was expecting and I'm amped about that because it is fucking refreshing after everyone and their momma going dummy for the past 6 months. This had a classic sound to it, shit slumped hard.

Yeah there was a bunch of tight features on EM, so what. It's nice just to see an album where the acts shine themselves and when you got Quinn and Mess on it, you don't need no one else to make EM2 hot.

Back on point though... to me the CD was a tight follow up to the first, it was on the same formula, heavy beats, slowed out summer sounding funk breaks, shit you can drive around to, this wasn't for the club.

And okay it was 10 tracks, thats kind of disappointing but like cuzzin said on here, better to have 10 solid consistent sounding tracks rather than fill it with music that doesn't fit the album, like a fast hyphy or crunk sounding track.

By sticking to the script and kicking it to those heavy summertime G-Funk kind of beats which they flipped on EM, EM2 is a clean and worthy follow up. Yeah 7 years have passed but thank god they didn't try to sound different.

Anyone bashing this album is probably just tripping because they couldn't hear no certified radio smash or sugar coated track on the album. But then to me EM was never about a single hit, it was always about a solid back to back CD.

sond quality is excellnt...beats are well layn...
Yep yep fo sho... its funny, since we got caught up in all the hyphy sound, its much harder to appreciate solid production and sound quality. When there's a bunch of different drum patterns coming at you fast on a go dummy track you really can't soak up how clean the bass and trebles are.

EM2 really took it back there to clean heavy funk driven production, something you can appreciate a lot over a nice in-car system. For me Explosive Mode was classic as much because of the quality of the music and production, and that's something they definately did correct on this one too.

TOMMYJAMES HIT IT ON THE BUTTON, THERES A LOT OF FOLKS THAT WONT SAY ANYTHING BAD ABOUT THERE FAVORITE RAPPER, THIS ALBUM IS COO' BUT ITS DEFINITELY A DISSAPOINTMENT, ITS TO SOFT OF AN ALBUM, SEEMS LIKE EVERYONE WANTS TO MAKE RADIO FRIENDLY TRACKS THESE DAYS WHICH IS GAY AS FUCK.
