Ever Use Any Cd Scratch Removers?

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried any of the cd scratch removers that are out there and had any luck with any of them?

i would use isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. rub it in a clockwise motion on the disc with a paper towel or something soft and let it dry. this often does the trick.

Disc Doctor actually will remove a layer of the protcetive coating. It is not reccommended. Rubbing alcohol i believe will do the same thigs. a soft buffing wheel is what most places use.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is impossible to remove the scratch. If it is there - bad luck. What a device can do is to remove one (two, three) layer(s) from the cd surface and it will look as if there wasn't a scratch. But if you make another one (not even deep one) on such a new surface it will be more probable that the cd will skip.

i tried a motorized scratch remover and almost broke two rare cds with it..
