Man my boy had two jlw7 12's hooked to two old school rockford amps in a sealed box with some caps, that shit was foe to much. He got a lincoln ls 01 or 02, that shit slumps too much for me and I love car systems. He went to a stereo comp and got first hittin 148 db, my other boy went to the same comp and he had two solo barac L7 12's(dont remember the amps) in a malibu 97 or 98 and he was hittin 147 db.

Solo Baracs are nice

See my beat got jacked so i fibbed a little on my insurance check and bounced back with a better system i had before. I hardly ever let it yak out though cuz i want it to stay in my car where it belongs.

I have a 5 channel MTX 1000 watt amp pushing 4 Infinity reference 5 1/2s on the inside with 2 MTX 6500 10s in a sealed pro box with a Premere face pushing 50x4. its a pretty good system without going overboard. Those 10s knock though way better than the 12s i had in there before. I'd like some better inside speakers but they do the job better than stock. IMO the key is in good inside speakers I want to hear my music the right way not getting overwhelmed with bass. I want the Infinity kappas in there but i'm pretty much done with car audio, what i have sounds fine

Yea that sounds nice, got alot of power goin to errthang, another one of my boys has 3 12 p3's in his scion(the box) and they're all in seperate sealed box's with a mono rockford amp and digi cap to each sub. He's got some Mb Quartz 6x9's and 51/2's(i thinkk) hooked up to some kind of pionner amp or kenwood, shit sounds good all around.
He got that new pioneer deck too, the top of the line one.

I actually like my old alpine more than the premere deck i have now even though its pushing out more power and is more expensive. My alpine was simplistic and i thought it sounded great even pushing those weak audiobahn 12s that i used to have. I hope the teenaged new orleans dope fiends who jacked my beat like them lol. I'm more pissed about losing my cds and losing those 12s way more

Aye alpine is all about sound, one thing that all alpine decks have is a seperate little capicitor thing on the back of the wire harness that keeps a constant 12 vs running through the power wire which is critical in the consistancy of the sound. I don't think too many decks have those.

shoulda never let homie at the stereo place steer me away from another alpine. The premere deck is loaded with hella bells and whistles though you can really tweak your shit pretty well with it. I guess premere is like higher end pioneer, i still think i shoulda stuck with alpine. live and learn i guess. Another thing i found makes a world of difference is the guage and quality of cable you got running through. I learned alot chopping it up with the dudes at the shop i got my shit from. i got 2 systems from them

Oh yea you want some thick shit and not alot of extra, they say you're not suppose to run the power next to the rca and remote wires on the way to the amp. That shit is easy to me now, alotta trial and error wit my own systems but its relatively easy to hook up a deck 1 amp and 1 or 2 subs.

i never did it myself but i kinda watched the process. same dudes hooked up my alarm and did my tint. doesnt seem too difficult though

and i was messin with it a lil last night and it sounds a lot better now...i need to get some tweeters now though......

i just used my stock bose system that was in the truck when i bought it and it sounds coo but the bass floods the words a lil too much....
