San Francisco pulls off the biggest upset of Week 1, taking out the NFC champs in Arizona, 24-17.

With the game tied late in the fourth quarter, Allen Rossum returned a punt 53 yards to give the 49ers the stunning seven-point victory.

Larry Fitzgerald caught only four passes in the loss for Arizona, but at least he wasn't struck down by the Madden Curse like fellow cover athlete Troy Polamalu, so Cardinal fans have at least one thing to be thankful for, even if they do start the season 0-1

ESPN MADDEN 10 SIMULATIONS: CHARGERS 45 vs RAIDERS 7 (LMAO!)

I REALLY BELIEVE THIS SCORE THO, THAST THE FUNNY THING

http://espn.go.com/videogames/simulation/nfl2010?id=4463441

Rivers dominates hapless Raiders

Philip Rivers threw five, that's right, five touchdown passes as the Chargers whipped the hapless Raiders 45-7.

Beyond Rivers' stellar performance, San Diego also should be excited about LaDainian Tomlinson's bounce-back game after an injury-plagued 2008. LT rushed for 109 yards against Oakland's D and looked to be back to his old, dominant form.

Unfortunately for fans of the Silver and Black, the news was not so positive. Oakland, which plans to live or die with quarterback JaMarcus Russell, looks to be in for a mighty long season with the young signal-caller under center, as Russell threw three interceptions in the loss.
