On ESPN News BCS Special, Herbstreit and the analysts were dismayed Cal got fucked over by the BCS. The Pac-10 gets fucked over by the BCS almost every single year. However, this could be good for the Dawgs.

Herbstreit just said that because of "the respect factor," Tedford "will go north to Seattle" and that up there "he wouldn't have to convince anybody he was BCS worthy at 10-1." Great news. If this guy can build a winner at Berkeley and all their limited resources and support, I think he can build UW up to the point where they can atleast compete w/ USC for the Pac-10 title on a regular basis.

Great news I hope the DawgPound gets it done.

Why would he want to go from coaching a top notch 10-1 team to a garbage 1-10 team? They better be throwing a ton of money at him to leave a good situation.

A) They will make him the highest paid coach in college football
B) Everybody who knows anything about college football feels long-term success is possible at UW and not at Berkeley, especiallly given the nature of the two schools.

Herbstreit is not GOD but he said it with the conviction that made me feel that this really is going to happen. Crossing my fingers.
