Well since its gonna b the 2nd Quarter next month.. how ya feel bout whats going in for the new year.. well here some awards i wanna hand out. GIVE a short reason why 2 explain. Please feel free 2 add your own.. hopefully if they see thiz they can STEP IT UP and a make a big impact for the next quarters.

Shouldn't even comment mayne, no disrespect to anyone who put something out but its been like drought season Q1 07, nothing coming out of the Bay. V-White and Da Bidness prolly the only quality CDs that dropped this year.


SURPRISE... There been a lotta surprises, the best Bay music in 07 so far has all been surprises, or at least less well known artists. Malice new CD over famous music was very original and dope. I flat forgot we hadn't seen the Automatic album yet from Money Tree and that was clean from what I heard of it, need to cop that. Mista Cane came out and dropped a solid CD too.

GAS MONEY JACKAS... Thizz Recyling Entertainment, they lost the plot completely in the 2k7, they cashing out or something, fuck the fans. On one of them last Thizz Nations there's a track I think I've paid for now five times.

SINGLE OF Q1... Zion I f/ Mac Dre - Roll On Out, no contest, it takes Zion I to put some work in and prove Dre can be on a track in 07 and still be hella dope, Thizz take note... that Kafani f/ Keak growin on me though too

VIDEO... Fabby on Ghostbusters, did anyone else have a video? Homeboy on Youtube wreckin his truck trying to Ghostride maybe?

ARTIST TO BLOW... Haji... lol nah DJ Pimp I'm messin playboy... I woulda said FAB too but he already signed to Atlantic. I got a feeling we gonna see some producers make some moves next up. See some worldwide R&B stars try to get a Hyphy beat ahead of the summer, about that time when they all gettin that big trend for the summer. At the moment all the Bay artists is stagnating or working on their side hustle. So yeah lemme say Traxamillion or someone on the beats side like Team Knoc is gonna be big next quarter.

MIXTAPE OF Q1... Not many good ones of them either... the Dru Down / Lee Majors Crack Muzic mixes I guess... Wait for the next Metal Mouth drops..

ARTIST & ALBUM OF Q1... Well Album of Q1 can only be V-White because it was the only serious product put out by a Bay Artist the whole 3 months. It was nice too. So dude wins by default. Artist of Q1 prolly just Mess for the work he putting in.

Some extra categories from me...

DIFFERENT PLAYBOOK TO THIZZ AWARD... Frisco Street Show, they running totally opposite business plan, Thizz got dope covers, Showtime and Street Show spend about two minutes on the covers but the CD's are dope. Albums from Quinn, Rob Lo, that Hyphy City, all solid listenable products. Proves that at the end of the day to keep it real its gotta be about the music straight up. A nice cover with bright colours ain't worth 14$ if the CD is just the same old.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION AWARD... JT Figgaro... totally random but his track made it into the first episode of a big standout new drama series on UK TV, must have just been some randomness from the producers but crazy number of kids on message boards everywhere asking who it is....

NOW LET ME FIND THAT DRE CD AWARD... some Down South dude called Jibbs or something doin a track over that same Ice Cream van beat Dre and Nicky went over on 'It's not what you say...' CD. I'ma listen to Dre if thats okay...

SORRY FOLKS WE CANCELED THE ALBUM AWARD.... where'd that Dubee - Last of a Thizzin Breed CD go, or that new Feds - It's Whatever one? They pulled 'em both, right?

DEEJAY BOUT TO MAKE MOVES... DJ Fresh been puttin out a lot of heat with J Stalin and other cats and making nice work of a lotta old skool samples. It's a dope sound, dudes got real musical talent, someone gonna pick up on that.

UNDISPUTED PRODUCER OF Q1-2007... Fuck it, Khayree on everything. Like I said, it's drought season, so few serious CD's, had to take it back these last few months, listen to some classic music. No one recently comes close.

HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE BITCHMOVE OF 07... Columbia Pictures getting FAB to pull the Ghost Ride It video for presenting the Ghostbusters logo and likeness in a bad way... okay right so thats a washed up 20 year old film about some dudes packin green gunk trying to kill a giant fucking marshmallow, and they think FAB gettin their shit on MTV for a whole new generation is bad? Damn...
