For some strange reason I decided to turn the radio on in my car tonight instead of listening to cds like I normally do and all of a sudden I hear Sg's goofy ass voice. I had to make sure I didn't have a cd in!!!! :) I'm so excited to hear them out here!!!! It's about damn time!!!

lol!!! You for real know someone out here? Who? We actually have pretty decent hip hop and r&b stations out here, I was very suprised, b/c when I was here before Kwnz was mostly pop and alternative. Wild 102.9 is better than KWNZ, but they both pretty decent.

i wish we had some of those up here in MN. there are only 2 good stations that will actually play some underground music here, KMOJ, and the college radio station. KMOJ you can only hear about 5 to 10 miles away, and same with the college station. It is about 50 miles north of minneapolis, and i can only hear it if i drive 20 miles north, so that wont count. B96 had I'm A Playa, they even had a clip of Tech that they played during every comercial break saying, "I'm the one they call Tech N9ne!!!!", but nobody I know had ever heard the song on the radio.

My Boy J-Biggz who is originally from K.C. and I know Panama and I got fam in Reno. First time my shit got played on radio was KWNZ. Had my first radio interview on their too.

I know quite a few people in Reno. "Alotta" who used to work for Family Entertainment is a good friend and alot of folks I jus met and chopped it up with em but we don't be like exchangin' christmas cards. But when I go bacc it's all love. I also heard Empire is gettin' played on Power 106 fm in L.A. too. Search KNRG 92.9fm in San Jose and getcha shit to them too. Wiseguy. They showed me alot of love when I was in the bay and will play your shit if they already aren't.

At least you get them...up north here in Chisago...I barely get B96 it's all static most the time. KDWB and B96 simply suck ass, if you ask me. 93X, KQ92 are the only stations I'll listen to. CD's are the only way to go these days when it comes to rap...fuck edited radio shit.

Right on! Was that before the format change? When I grew up here it was 97.3 KWNZ, now they changed it to 93.7 and 97.3 is Christian radio! I have no idea how long ago it was, I know it had to be fairly recent. Reno really is a pretty close lil town, I didn't realize it till I started working at Atlantis. Everyone knows someone who knows someone! There's a pretty big underground music scene starting to surface. I am finally settled in enough to go out more and do more things, especially with school being out, when I get off at 1am, there's a shitload of places to go and every dj's promoting some new band or group. We get lots of Cali dj's. I think they're trying to get Power 106 out here, last time I talked to my boy from Wild they were all worried bout it. If that happens, you know Strange n Empire gonna blow up b/c Tech's pretty popular on 106 aint he?

Yea the friday night the KWNZ signed off from 97.3 I was in the studio. I left monday when it was supposed to start up live on 93.7. Thats also the last time I fucced with them on the real cuzz they had me all the way out there for some promo and then the station decided to switch up the friday I was supposed to be on air. But anyways yea it's real close nit town. I love it there and usually go about 3 times a year jus to kicc it. But we also got shows comin' up out that way I believe.
