The 90's, “Eazy’s Playhouse” was the place to be. The
former den of iniquities that was owned by the late-
rapper Eazy-E (pictured), aka the Godfather of Gangsta
Rap and member of the hip-hop group N.W.A., was
foreclosed by the bank earlier this year. Now it is being
reported that the reason the house was foreclosed was
because his widow, Tomica Wright, allegedly stopped
making mortgage payments, reports TMZ.
With a black room with florescent pillows and a neon
sign that read “Eazy’s Playhouse,” Eazy-E’s crib was
notorious for scandalous all-night parties, bottle-poppers
and their entourage members as well as hoards of
women.
The 6,700-square-foot, 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom, Calabasas, Calif., manse was. auctioned off for more than $2.2 million last spring. When Eazy-E, whose real name was Eric Lynn Wright, passed away on March 26, 1995, at age 31 from AIDS, the home was passed on to his wife.
According to official records surrounding the property,
which were just made public, Tomica fell behind in
mortgage payments last year and wound up owing $
168,278.78, so the home was sold at a foreclosure
auction.
Still, Eazy-E, who began having sex at age 12 and had
seven children with six different women, will now have
his and his band members stories told on the big screen.
With the success of Christopher “Biggie” Wallace’s
“Notorious,” the film company New Line Cinema has
the N.W.A. story in development. Eazy-E’s wife, Ice-
Cube, and Dr. Dre are serving as the film’s producers
