i was hitting the bay club scene since 1990, when a lot of spots was scared to play rap, much less local bay artists, and Vallejo never could keep a club, way to much drama and funk
so i use to hit up any and every spot in the bay from like 1990-1994, and i remember how it felt being at the club and hearing Mac Dre too hard for the radio gettin bumped right after Nwa s gangsta gansta at 1 up in the city, or gettin play at After Dark(virtigo) 1990, to the Grad. in Davis playing Rhtmymx or N2-deep same with sneakers in sonoma, or even when Boogie would play e-40 and Dre at the Bar None (petaluma)!!lol
u know how u felt at the club, on a good one, rolling hella deep and your local shit is getting shine on the speakers , i know we was Hypheee before the word came out, yadidimean.
anyway i fiugred id start a thread for those that know what im talking about, or that want to give props to a club that showed love to the early bay pioneers before it was the thing to do (hell some still dont).......

The Candlelight on Cutting in Richmond used to play hella local shit. Rappin' 4-tay performed there before along with various other locals, hella Richmond groups and rap cats I can't remember and although we were only 15, the bouncers always showed love to us El Cerrito High girls. Then there was this spot on College Ave by Tech in Oakland called ya mommas cafe'.... not a club but they used to play local shit all the time and local rappers would be up in there signing napkins and gettin' at the young girls and shit.
