I have a feeling that EA is waiting for the next gens to drop before releasing a game but then drop the game for both the current and next gens at the same time. Same thing happened with the last gen for FN3

^^ What are they supposed to do? Come up with new rules? They can't move the pitchers mound farther away, or bring the fences in. Boxing is doing just fine. Been a great year so far.

Instead of protecting legacies put on the fights everyone wants to see, when the best don't fight one another then what's the point? Aside from that its fine, I think there should be less rounds though.

Boxing as a whole isn't evolving, its no surprise EA is more focused on MMA...
Boxing games are more expensive to develop

they have to negotiate deals with the fighters one by one, not with promoters like in UFC/Strikeforce

a lot of fighters price themselves out, kind of like how Michael Jordan was never in NBA games back in the 90's

I think that was different with MJ. He had signed some agreement because the way contracts were negotiated back then. He had Jordan vs. Bird and somehow I think that had that Windy City game in the contract if I remember correctly. But he wasn't on games forever because of that. Similar thing with Mike Tyson after punch out. He had one or 2 games where it was basically a mike Tyson game.

If some asshole wants to price himself out of a game (Mayweather ) that doesn't mean the game cant be sick, just like the nba games without mj were. Plus there are plenty of legends to
fill the game with as well. EA killed the last game with their bullshit changes made online so I'd love to see another company have a go at it.

when was the last time you played it? I hated the online for like a year, it's actually not bad now. I still have my moments where it pisses me off but that's mostly because of the dude I end up playing online or something. It's a lot better than it was. I never got the chance to play you on there.

I haven't played for a long while. When it first came out i thought online was damn near perfect. But EA listened way too much to the EA message board, bunch of whiners complaining cus they have no skill, then they changed everything got rid of one punch KOs, adjusted hella shit that only allowed people to win by cheap tactics etc. Completely ruined the fun and experience so I quit playing, just to frustrating. I want a boxing simulator not a cheap spam fest or unrealistic way of fighting.

And I've been a huge fan of the series. The previous game I took place in a tournament and came in second place for my region (north west and canada). A point away from going to Vegas and meeting Mike Tyson, Shane Mosley and others, and compete in a $10,000 tournament of 20 elite players that won their regional tournament.

I still 1 punch knockout fools pretty often. As often as should be. The only thing I hate is the constant spamming. I think the sidestep punch thing is b.s. It's not something you see in boxing as often as people do it on the game. Overall, I still think it's great. I think the legacy mode is TERRIBLE and unplayable though.

I was pretty good at round 4. I dominated the first tournament and couldn't find the gamestop they were holding the next round at. I called every store in that suburb, and went to like 3 or 4 stores that day, they had no clue. I was kinda pissed. I did see a bikini carwash that day though from a bunch of college chicks at the local university. That actually was cooler than going to the next round.

btw, I only play on the middleweight, online world championship. Way too much b.s. goes on just playing a pick up game most of the time. People pick Isaac Frost and just throw haymakers that are tough to block. You can still beat them but it's not that fun.
