(btw the Slapboyz version was pretty tight to me, yall did dat).

But @Equivalent right before the "1" on your beat's first verse (the 1 is where the beginning of your loop starts) is where 40 is supposed to come in and say "ooh" ...I mean RIGHT before that 1. Yours is on beat (per say) but what I meant is that it starts 1/2 a bar too late, not a full bar but half. Listen again to Big Chill's and mine & you'll see what i'm saying.

Otherwise I agree with Dj Madness that we shouldn't get into an arguement over this, I'm providing some constructive criticism (I think). Tony Lo was too. It's just that the Producers from the West Coast that are getting into this contest are a representative of me and I am of them....there's no need for ANY of us to not be on point, feel me?

lol. I assumed that the beginning of the tribal drum roll was the 1 bar. It just made more sense to me for the original's intro to be 2 bars instead of 2 and a half bars which is how long the intro would be if we assumed the 1 bar starts on the last horn/bass stab like you said (which by the way sounds really weird to me if the 1 bar indeed started there).

Regardless, how a song is arranged has nothing to do with whether or not the vocals are in sync or on beat with the music, and the examples I posted before show that my remix is perfectly in sync with the original.

yours is on beat... you just did your on a tempo like this ---- 105 bpm divided by 2 ----- your tempo is 52.5 bpm. thats why it sounds so slow.
Right on fam.. Actually my bpm was like at 104.287 something of that nature from there I had to tweek a few things with the lyrics cause I did it that way but I was able to make it work.. something about FL Studio that makes audio off when you bring it in but I figured a way to fix that.. I just made a slow beat lol.. I wanted to make something to give it that street hustle sound.. i mean I think I accomplished that. lol..

Stay Blessed..

On the original beat for every bar the horns hit 4 times, they go for 4 bars, then switch to the bass which hits 4 times for every bar for 4 bars. When the FOURTH Bass hits is where the 1 count for the verse begins. Granted in the 8 bar intro the beat does start a little early, as a matter of fact it starts a half a bar early (that's where you hear those knocks). Either way if you're done with what you got & don't plan on changing it then do you...I'm just helping out the best way I know how. It's really up to 40 though, not me so good luck to everyone that enters.

No matter how hard I try to hear it the way you're saying, I just can't.

What's more likely? That the beat started too early and me and Indecent's remixes have 40s vocal's half a bar early? Or the beat started at the right time, the 1 bar, and your remix has 40s vocals half a bar late?

lmao at people not understanding where 40's verse is supposed to start.....these beats are Bangin (like Trakkaholik's; which was exceptionally clean btw...and Equivalent's too), but they suck when his verse isn't on point. Like, does Rick Ross's beat throw you off that much? Or is 40's flow really that advanced to where you don't hear his rhythm? I'm over here dyin yall...get that shyt TOGETHER folks!http://twiturm.com/profile/djabbico
lmao at you thinking Rick Ross made that beat. get YOUR shyt TOGETHER folks!

@Infinity, I just assumed he made that, lol...who made it? Droop-E?

@Equivalent It's cool, I can't argue with you about it homie because I know I could be just as wrong about it as anyone else. What's good is that all the beats are bangers.

Nah I think he meant that RICK ROCK did the beat and not RICK ROSS playa

In all honest, only one out of all of the remix's sounded off beat, im not gonna say what one, but that most of these are on beat to me personally.

Also its E-40... dude has one of the most unique original flows ever, some people think his flow on his real tracks is off beat, but thats the way dude been doing it for years.

Overall there are some great remixes here, I thought maybe one or two would be dope, but alot of yall came with HEAT.

Also some of the remixes just need multiple listens... at first I thought TonyLos was off beat after first listen (still loved the beat), but then after 3 or 4 more listens it grew on me and sounded right on point.

So far I think Indecent and Tony Lo's are the best new beats and big Chill with the best remix with a new verse on it. Abbico, Remaq and Equivalent Exchanges are also very good to. Honestly there is not many that im not feeling in this thread, everyone came with some real game.

Just my two cents. Also Tony Lo that beat is just classic old school E-40, like I said before its like you went back in time to make that shit, it sounds like a track off Major Way. If e-40 was smart he would buy that beat off ya for his next lp lol.

I could have sworn that 40's vocals were perfectly synced with the beat on my remix, and I have some proof why I felt and still feel that way.

I got your remix, abbicos remix, and my remix and synced them up with the original "The Server" song. Here are the results:

Big Chill Sync Comparison: http://www.zshare.net/audio/74020035fd0c9457/

Abbico Sync Comparison: http://www.zshare.net/audio/74020014a896d81c/

Equivalent Exchange Sync Comparison: http://www.zshare.net/audio/74020072d2c51259/

For those that don't know, if you take two audio files that are exactly the same, line them up together so that they're in sync, and pan one hard left and pan one hard right it will sound exactly the same as if you just played one of the files in the center. If the two audio files aren't in sync then you'll hear them separately. The more in sync the two files get the closer the sound moves toward the center. Conversely the less in sync the two files get the farther the sound moves away from the center.

40's vocals on Big Chill's remix are clearly separate and the farthest away from the center of these three.

40's vocals on Abbico's remix are closer to the center than Big Chills, but still clearly separate and not perfectly in sync.

40's vocals on my remix are dead center.

Now what were you guys saying about 40's vocals being offbeat on my remix???
your a good producer and i like the stuff you do but your vocals are off.im not talking MILLISECONDS like what you compared. im talking by a 1/4 OF A WHOLE BAR.

40's vocals are on beat on my remix. The examples I posted that you just quoted prove that. What you're trying to say is 40's vocals start half a bar later than what you think is the 1 count of the original. The original's arrangement is not typical, and I feel it's open to interpretation.

Just because I chose to arrange my remix differently doesn't make it "off".

i put E-40 vocals with a phone effect over your remix to show you the exact way E-40 starts the song off.

hopefully other producers here see the way i started his vocals and see just what im sayin.

now if you dont see what im sayin then its whatever mayne do you and good luck.
