They promote Chicano heritage, pride, and history like we're about to have a revolution but yet they will not pay any Chicano Artist. Fake as fuck if you ask me. When i was a youngster the homies would say," street low is a magazine out of Northern Cali helping our people, we should support them". Nowadays with the shit Gilbert does, Im hearing less and less of that the more barrios i travel to.

But doesn't homeboy rap consist mostly of lyrics pertaining to killing scraps and putting in work? How does that relate to Chicano pride and heritage? What are some radio friendly songs by homeboy rappers that I can check out? What are some homeboy songs that I would be interested in if one wasn't a Norteno or Neteno like some kids on this site? I'm genuinely curious in knowing an ideal homeboy lineup and set list that would let me throw a show without having to worry about inciting some kind of riot or being a legal liability.
