Im kinda surprised that everyone seems to believe that we can just warp back to 1995 and have the Mosley and Bostic from that era....thats not how it works. Didnt anyone listen to the new Mac Mall song over a Khayree beat that came out this week? Things have changed, time has progressed, eras have been lapsed. I think people expecting 94 MOBSTAS/Gas Chamber/Tryin 2 Get A Buck typa shit are going to be sorely disappointing.

However, I would LOVE to dead wrong. Only time will tell.

Don't get it twisted, I respect your right to your opinion. I know alot of you may be thinking the same thing. I doubt if anyone who truly came from or has studied the era you speak of is so inexperienced in life that they think that time stands still. That being said; I think it's also wise to point out that unlike athletes, producers and musicians do not necessarily get worse with age. In fact, I would argue that most get better. Most problems usually arise when a producer or a musician looses his way while on a quest for personal fulfillment in music. In this particular instance, both of these men have had their time to explore their own musical paths, and set those searches aside to bring about a Renaissance in a style of music that they had a LARGE, if not CRUCIAL hand in creating. Mob Music...

Anyone who knows Sam as a solo artist understands that he has no problem walking on ANY part of the street when it comes to musical stylings. After hearing the depth of his musicianship and production skills in person, one might honestly come to the conclusion that Hip-Hop is really just a hobby for him (although he would probably strongly deny it). He is honestly THAT good.
He has finally decided to shift some of THAT focus back to Mob Music, and as a listener, I for one, am more than grateful.

As for Mike's producing career, he has shown time and time again that as a solo producer he has what it takes crank out the hits. His skillful arrangements, as well as his ear for rhythms and melodies, are the reason why he is still arguably the best Producer the Bay has ever... produced (no pun intended). Probably one of his greatest traits though is his ability, when choosing NOT to produce alone, to find production partners that balance his sound as well as HE balances theirs. Lets not forget that over the years he has also had successful partnerships with the likes of Rick Rock, Femi Ojetunde, Karl Gandy, and Darrien Smith. I mean, it's more than evident that he has what it takes to adapt to any day and age including THIS one. It's not a coincidence that most, if not every producer he has worked with has also ended up with Platinum or Gold on their walls.

Together... these two Cats create magic. I for one, believe they've earned the right to be given the benefit of the doubt. To be judged dope until proven otherwise. But hey, that's just me. Maybe some of you have a better plan to bring The Bay back to it's former glory. Well I say here are two of that era's grandest architects. If you're dry and thirsty and you're looking for directions to the oasis, I doubt if you'll find a better road map than these two can give you. Have you ever heard the term: All Cognac's are Brandys, but not all Brandy's are Cognac's? Well, Believe me, I've heard what they're working with and it's not just Water... It's like Mob Music XO...

THIS SHOULD BE ANOTHER CLASSIC LIKE IT WAS BACK WHEN THE CLICK WAS TOGETHER. I THINK THATS ONE OF THE REASONS I HAVEN'T BEEN BUYING HIS ALBUMS IS BECAUSE OF THE PRODUCTION.

Im sure its going to be an updated sound and based on their history, they should compliment each other well. Will every song be on point, prob not but the ones that are im sure will be better than all the shit out there at the moment.
