Never put down any money on a car from a dealership (unless you plan on keeping it until it's completely paid off).

I put no money down, got my '06 Charger brand new last year, but I only keep cars for 2 or 3 years at a time.

Most people say they want to put some money down because it will lower your monthly payment, but it's all in the negotiations. My car was right around 30k, and I pay $400 a month, with no down payment given.....I asked the the car salesman some scenerios and if I put 2k down at the beginning, it would lower my payment by $13 a month...nothin big.

Yeah I got decent credit, but nothing great.

And yeah, after 2 or 3 years, I'll take the car I have into the dealership where I wanna cop my new whip at and go from there.

Like I said, it's all in staying tough with your negotations. I still had 5 g's in negative equity on my previous ride...took it in, talked the dealership down 5 g's on my Charger, and still got them to take my previous ride, even with the negative equity.

Most salesmen/dealerships will try to use the excuse "This is as low as I can go..this is with me not even having enough to pay my salesman any commision either".........this is always bullshit, so just keep talking them down. Never begin to feel sorry for them. They're only after one thing....

i thought you negoate a price then its up to the bank to give you your intrest/monthly paymen...which is based on your credit......have i been fooled this whole time?
No, you are correct. But that is ALWAYS negotiable as well.

First thing you want to do, is negotiate your monthly payment. Work the dealership over real well on this. Then when you find the perfect monthly payment for you, say to them "Alright that payment sounds good, but how much am I going to be paying overall for the car in the end?", and then you can start negotiating that as well.

it all depends on numbers. if your talkin bout droppin 5 hun on a car that costs 3gs then your payments are gonna be hella low with an average credit score. if your bitch is gonna cost you like 35gs and your droppin 5hun with some average credit your payments are gonna be like 700+. like said already go check out a website like toyota and play around with their finance calculator.

That is true, but I never really liked those finance calculators online. There can be many, many banks that each dealership tries to get you a loan through, so your payment may very quite a bit, depending on the bank/credit union.

you trying to get a brand new benz, you ain't gon get one payin 2-$300 a month w/ no money down. also depends how much you tryin to spend. you tryin to get a C230 for 30 racks, or you bout to spend 100 racks on a S550? i'd go to a credit union first before goin the the dealership, prolly get a better rate, and can negotiate as cash.

I'm pretty sure if you're lookin to get a loan from a credit union for at least 30k, you're better off in letting the dealership negotiate with the credit union, rather than you going to the credit union yourself. They have more pull and can negotiate a better interest rate then you could.

hell naw mayn the dealership is going to try and milk the consumer for as much money as they can. i work at a dealership as a autotech not a salesman, but i know how shit goes and i've bought brand new cars. go to the credit union first and see what kind of numbers they talkin bout. let the dealership know them numbers and have them either match or beat the credit union. off top though your monthly bill ain't goin be 2-3 bills for a brand new benz without a decent down payment and A+ credit. a c-class ain't even worth spendin the money on no matter how good of a price you can get them at either. so unless you expectin to get at least an e-class or somethin bossy you shouldnt even fuck wit a benz. real talk.

My job right now can handle that plus bills but with the side gig i got that pays commission, i can probably pay the bitch off in 2 checks, but i dont want to do that. any suggestions? leaning towards those new bmw's hardtops.
