I remember my dad having a 12k modem, then we upped it to 24k and when 56k hit we were in heaven LOL

I remember watching Star Wars movie clips online being hella happy with a lil snippet.

I install DSL at my current job... it's surprising how many families still have dial-up.

I remember logging into BBS's with a 2400 baud modem on a black and white laptop. And playing doom on a 9600 baud modem thinking I was the shit. Goddamn I'm old, who knows about the old AOL warez rooms? wooow that was a long time ago.

Oh shit all the triple og internet folks are going to come out of the woodwork and spit legendary early 90's internet folktales. I started using the internet very very sporadically in the late 90's. My school had like 5 computers on the internet total, you can get an idea of how often I used the net then!

Ya I remember when aol switched to HTML and you could send an IM to someone with a messed up font code or something like that and it would boot you off. Or if you were really 1337 you could get OH accounts and spam text so fast in chat rooms you could literally lock them down. I also remember the CC generators, that shit was so easy to use back then and it was crazy when aol charged by the minute. I remember people paying over a $100 a month just to use that bullshit lol...

I remember taking 30-40 min to DL one song. And if it wound up being a corrupted file, i'd be tempted to throw my computer out the window.
