LOL.. Really tho! This question just came to mind the other day after watching that clip of the autistic kid who scored 20 points in 3 minutes. Here's the link in case you missed it:

Here's an experience I encountered... I remember picking up my little bro a long time ago at daycare and was whistling that Willy Wonka song in my dad's car (LOL, don't ask why!!) and when I walked in his classroom to sign him out, this autistic kid ran up to me and said Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory!! I was like WTF was that all about. This kid had some major hearing and heard me through walls because I was still in the car when I was whistling that shit!! And the classroom wasn't close to the parking lot either. LOL!!

It happens where people with autism are savants. Some have super computer like abilities to calculate or recognize patterns. One you might be familiar with is Daniel Tammet who is an autistic savant, look up his some info on this guy because he is kind of interesting. There was a show featuring him and some other guy which you can name any date ( ex: July 23, 1978 ) and he would tell you the day of the week and the weather. It all happend to him after he was hit in the head with a ball or something.

I most definately believe children with autism have an incredible gift-- I've read and witnessed some amazing incidents..

i have a son who is Autistic.......they register things alot differently than you & me........they may lack in one area but excell in another......some can count at amazing rates, i imagine the basketball kid did some quick calculations after his first show, which was an airball......and made tragectory (sp) changes quicker than you & i could do, and was on FIRE!!! my son has problems with reading but is a wiz at math...... :devious:

I do have an autistic kid story though....

In 6th grade science there was an autistic kid named Ian in the class. He would sit in front of this tank full of meal worms all class long, talking to them and playing with them. So one day I hid the tank before class, and he shows up and starts freaking out. "WHERE DID THEY GO!? WHERE IS MELVIN!?!?!?"....they pull him out of class and he goes home early. The next day I tell him that I put the tank on the roof of the gym. So at lunchtime this lil tard is climbing up the gutter drain of the gym, like 50 feet up, and a crowd starts to gather. The principal comes and tells him to climb down and he just freezes and starts crying. He ends up clinging to the drain like 50 feet up for about a half hour until the janitor comes with a ladder and gets him down. About a month later I went and got the tank and all the worms were dead...Ian sees it, flips out....when the teacher tries to control him he throws a haymaker and banks her square on the nose. I never saw Ian after that.

Autistic people sometimes excell in certain activities beyond normal human capacities. That's a fact that's been repeatedly proven. As far as special powers, as in, some supernatural shit, I couldn't say. I never saw one fly in the air or throw fireballs and shit, but who knows.
