imo

mixtapes arent where its at no more fad died out in 2006 and when the piff site was created.. a mixtape its the lazy way rapping over other radio beats i can understand if a artist wants to put out unrleased shit then its cool but rapping over usher lil freak or other radio tracks isnt the business.. if your a artists then create your own original shit and drop a album or street album. just my 2 cent

Considering the majority of today's rappers are career mixtape rappers and that is all we ever see released from them, yes I think their mixtapes should sound as good as possible. Anything that is supposed to be a representation of your work and yourself as an artist should not be half assed.

Major name artists or more known names can get away with it, because they have nothing to prove, and they release real albums when the time comes.

they're called mixtapes because the songs should all be mixed or blended together and play like 1 continuous track

i just wanted to see what everyone thought

I give you one example of mixtape that should have been mixed & mastered.
Young Jeezy & Dj Folk "Trappin Aint Dead".
Im willing to pay for this cd.
Its a banger from begining to end but I barely listen to it because the quality is so bad.
Its a waste of good music.
I dont believe Jeezy cosigned this.
Ive searched everywhere for a CDQ & couldnt find it.
