When i bought this CD i was into it like 2 months-non stop because L is dope and his voice, his flow and his lyrics are just tight.
I have just bought the re-edition in vynil and i still think it is dope even if most of the prod (buckwild, lord finesse...) are not so tight and when i make my friends listen to it they say that it is not so good(Fuck them!!)

What do u think of this album?Do you condider it is a classic.i would say YES.

In reference to The Big Picture - If L would have been able to participate in the actual making of the album rather than using some catalogued songs, it would have been A LOT better. You can tell the producers had to scramble to fit guest appearances on the album, due to lack of material. Because of who Big L is / was, I must give it classic status, because I had to wait too fuckin' long for that joint to drop.

On L's VERY first album....I think titled Lifestyles of the Poor & Dangerous..(forgive me L)
L SHIT ON EVERYBODY ON THAT ALBUM. He was the first one to come with that HORRORCORE
style adopted by artists like Gravediggaz, Hyenas in the Desert, you can even throw 3-6's early material in there also...new style, new flows...HIGHLY slept on album. Unfortunately, hip-hop was on that happy shit @ the time, so it took a while for heads to respect.

Go cop the D.I.T.C. album...SHOWBIZ & A.G.'s 1st album...Diamond D's 1st album.....FUCKIN" REAL HIPHOP...no singin' in the fuckin' hook..just beats, lyrics & oh yeah...remember scratchin'??

God Bless the Dead.

Thats one of my top 5 albums of all time. Everything Big L said on that album was flawless. Only flaw in the album was the production. But the lyrics was so good that u wouldnt have cared about the beats.

the big picture was his 2nd unfinished album. life ov the poor and dangerous was his first. although alot of the beats wasnt knockable, his lyrics killed it.

classic.

I really think that the Children of the Corn Stuff is classic. That was one of the best super groups with Cam'ron, Ma$e, Bloodshed, & McGruff with Digga on the beats.

^^^^^Thank You

I was reffering to subject matter not flows.

At that time, no one on the east was on that shit. Esham & Lynch held it down in the mid west & out here with that ripgut shit....but L was the first on the east to spit like that.

"Take a listen to my first album / and you'll know where a lot of niggaz got they whole style from.."
