What's your take on this?

Technically, karma is merely cause and effect. IF you do this, then that will happen. A lot of the word karma is misconstrued to seem like if you do something bad, something bad will happen to you in return. Sometimes, that is the case. Other times, people can do bad things but never suffer a bad result at the hands of that particular negative action.

Do you feel you reap what you sow in some fashion? Or do we only say "oh, that's karma" when it fits our needs to make it seem like bad things should happen to bad people?

I'd like to believe in Karma, but from what I've seen, its hard to believe in. My old man is the hardest working mfkr I've ever known in my entire life, straight headed, and real as real comes. Yet he is the most unfortunate, unlucky person I know too, who deserves so much more than he's ever been givin' or should have earned.

I have an ex who drives a nicer a car than him, has more toys and money than him, lives the good life... yet he's a no-good, non-working, lyin-ass drug dealin', scammin' piece of shit. He lives a way better life than my old man and I don't think its fair. He found out he had cancer about 2.5 years ago, is it karma? I dunno, I'm still waitin' for my dad to bank or have something good happen to him to justify karma.

I have mixed feelings about this so called "karma." I dunno, but it seems to me that good people get shafted and bad people come out on top somehow, so its hard to believe in something so unjust.

Well I believe in your technical definition, cause and effect, obviously. As far as what most people believe Karma to be, absolutely not. The richest most powerful men that, many of whom have wonderful lives, have done and continue to do horrible things (and on the flipside a lot of wonderful people suffer their entire lives).

Karma is just a shed off the fight of Good Vs Evil. what i'm talking about is what some people call "loops" or "circles" and that being the only factors that work in the world. But the way my heart beat i know better, The way Love calls out to me, and why i wouldn't tear from it. those who know love, can't you hear it call that it will be alright even though you get hurt still. suppose theres many defintions to love, but mine is deeper and greater than anything in this world because there is only "One Love" it connects all things together and will never leave us alone.

dont believe in karma.... but for those who do here is a funny story

this jocks sister was throwing a party and when the homies and i show up were not allowed in by her brother..... the classic "we dont want any problems" line.... fast forward a few weeks and one of my folks throws a party, those same jocks are allowed in to my homies pad, to drink his beer, and talk to his woman..... and by the end of the night my homie who throws the party ends up fucking the sister of the original jock who didnt let us into his party....

NOW THATS KARMA!!!!!

lol @ that^

hm, well you see everyone has been explaining Karma as if the reward or punishment must come in the same form as it was handed out...i think thats far from true.

Like, i don't think having earthly possessions is true happiness, and i know far too many people that think it is. i do not feel like i've missed out on the karma train because i don't got my own place, or lots of money...

like, but i don't think people should be having to 'pay back' for their sins or 'wrong doings' because usually the deepest pay back(regrets, sorry's w/e) they gotta do, is to themselves, and then others.

But yeah i think sayin "ha ha thats karma" (like the story above) is a good example of just throwin in a lil 'i told you so bitch' without even havin to tell them so in the first place

yes..

Karma IS cause and effect..

someone can be stranded on an island and almost be starved to death when a boat comes floating along and happens to save them... the non believer will simply say "the boat saved you" when to the person being saved, its a miracle.

its all perspective. yours.

I believe in karma in a practical sense. it definitely is cause and effect. . . most people tend to think that the effect will play out in reference to the cause/action.it may play out in more unrelated ways to to what bad/good karma would suggest from a subjective perspective
