LMAO!!!!!!! before we have a mod we need some type of guidelines or somethin.......i dont know if d-sane has his hands full with his board. i dont know if sick wid it wants to be a mod (he would make a great mod). i was going to say YOU, KEV SKI (but he isnt on as much) D or SICK.

hell i will clean house and post "vital" sections. from music theory to mixing techniques to basic equipment set ups to midi to "how do i learn to make beats " (LOL), to business 101 to whatever else has been asked trillions of times.

Guidelines would be a great idea. Another good one would be like how they do over at the ughh.com forums, where if someone wants to post music, they can do so in special threads once a week. Then we could go through and delete a lot of the shit. I would be down to help with that, but I don't know if I'd be around enough to try to post a lot of helpful tips, music theory, etc. which is the reason I wouldn't go for the job. But fuck it, if no one else is gonna go for it, I'll at least sign up to take over the DELETING.

There's nothin' wrong with postin' music as much as you want to.
If no one likes it, it will fall to the bottom of the page, then down to other pages. EVERYONE should have the right to post their music and get Constructive criticism on it, Wack or not.

this is the studio forum so its only FAIR that people post the music they create. in fact its ENCOURAGED. when 1 person has 3 threads in the forum and they all contain a link to that persons web site. two of the threads should be deleted. it has NOTHING to do with power abuse etc etc etc. now if i do post music (which i rarely do) and someone doesnt like it guess what? they dont have to listen to it. so what does your statement have to do with anything? if ANYONE becomes a mod they will be REQUIRED to delete music. i doubt it would be based on being wack or tight because thats not the reason for this forum.
i understand that pimp which is why i would created a FAQ or several VITAL threads that are ALWAYS at the top of the forum. from midi to eq i would post it all. copyright info to a frequency chart that explained what frequency each note is in. i would help not destroy.
when it comes to help im one of the top five who is asked for it. not once have i clowned anyone made rude remarks etc etc etc. i direct the person to info,answers etc etc etc.
this is the reason why i said i would post things such as midi basics,studio setups,mixing tips,music theory etc etc etc.

besides if i was mod and wanted to delete music because of MY "opinion" i wouldnt. just because i dont like it doesnt mean that 324 others DONT.

On the issue of posting audio. I agree that those posts need to be consolidated whether it be in a thread or another forum specifically for that purpose. Most of the audio that gets posted in here isn't on some 'how can I improve this?', it's more like 'HOT AZZ BEATZ FO CHEAP! HOLLA!!', spammed across the entire website.
I suggested to Vamps that a new forum be made specifically for "promoting". If you are just trying to show off your work, no problem man. But post that stuff in an appropriate area. If you simply want people to listen to your beats or songs, this isn't the right place for that but if you want help with something or advice then here is where you need to be.
Speaking as a professional, when people just take advantage of this forum (rather than respecting it), it's a real turn-off and it doesn't exactly motivate me to continue offering *free* professional help & advice.

I agree with what a lot of folks are saying. Before I even ask a question I simply type in the main words in the search engine (at the bottom of the page) And atleast 90 - 95 percent of the time the question has been already answered a while back ago. I really encourage everyone (mostly the newbies) TO START USING THE FUCKIN SEARCH ENGINE INSTEAD OF ASKIN THE QUESTIONS THAT WAS ASKED BEFORE. You'll really gather up a gang of info from atleast Three different posts.

I think the FAQ thing is a GREAT idea.....because it's pretty obvious that most of us (me in particular!) are sick of seeing the same questions in here every other day.
I say make Sick Wid It a mod. Forget about Heresy.....he's a control freak and I firmly believe that he would quickly become an e-dictator! lol......I know I would!
And I assume that nobody realizes that GateWon is the mod in here? He's just not listed. So add Sick Wid It and let's call it a day. Heresy can type all the long winded FAQ answers....lol.
