I'm from the midwest Chicago and I'm a big Too-Short fan...Have been ever since the old 1st white Too-Short tape....He put it down for the bay area and IMO is a pioneer for West Coast rap....He took pimp rap to a different level.I got love for that fool.Even though he aint been selling units like he used too.He still got to love em for the doors he opened up for current rappers.He practically put the bay on the map......So wuzzup Bay Area.....Do yall fools still got love for the ol Too-Short Biaaaaaaaaatttttttcccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Yuk has no street cred in Oakland so his problem wit short is irrelevant!! Oakland will alwayz have luv for short because he alwayz spit pimp shit and game and thats what Oakland is all about!!

I dont see why anyone wouldnt have respect for Short in the Bay. Dude had a few problems and beefs but he was the pioneer of the bay and he came with that shit that everyone is tryin to replicate...

...On another note...I think dude should have retired a long time ago...when you listen to Gettin It and then his newer ones (ie You Nasty) there is a major slip in quality. Then again, he is still sellin quite a few records...

well i got luv for too short. these dayz his shit is garbage to me, but i got love for his old shit, and what he did for oakland. just like i still got luv for m.c. hammer.

and as far as it goes wit yuk havin no street credit in oakland, i would not say that shit dogg. yuk getz much respect from tha streetz of oakland.

Maybe to the Younger generation he does. But when it comes to older cats like myself he is known all through the East as being a mark that alwayz talked alot of shit but never backed it up. Yuk aint never put no work in for the Ville And this comes from older cats who use to hustle in the VILLE and all thru the 60's. Im not saying hes like a spice 1 but hes not as hard as everyone seems to think he is outside of Tha Town!!

end of story. and to be honest if we talkin bout rap not street credit listin to that track with short on the luniz cd. compaire short and yuk's verse. its over yuk on top period.


short opened doors fasho, he aint make the bay though, the bay made the bay. short aint sign every check, short aint get every song on the radio, he aint pay for promo, he aint do a track on every bay area cd for free, and he didnt spit the verses or make the beats on every bay area cd.


so come on now dont put every thing on short, he did his thing and helped out in his own way, but he aint own everybody, and everybody dont owe him.


take that how you want, no hate just a perspective comming from some one who works for them selves and knows that even though help is wanted and apreciated, help isnt the reason ima make something out my self.
