Violence as a part of a story IMO is fine, but there has to be a point to it. Violence just to seem "gangsta" is sinceless and stupid, BUT WE ALL KNOW alot of rappers are sinceless and stupid. A person who truly understands and lives with violence knows that it is not like ALOT of rappers talk about.
not all rappers from the bay rap about violence. check out some other artists that arent hyphy, gangsta, or mobb like hiero, blackalicious, lyrics born - these dudes are just lyrical as fuck.
