DO ANY OF YALL SUPPORT THE ARTISTS THAT HAVE BANNERS IN THE SICCNESS?

i don't really pay attention to them 'cause this isn't where i see new releases.. i see that at rasputins... but i do got albums like thuglords(banner i seen right b4 i posted) but thats only 'cause i like them dudes already.. with 500 new artits out the bay everyyear only a couple have caught my support ie frontline, ya boy...and that wasn't 'cause of a banner.
Exactly and why cats wit real talent get overlooked in this cess pool of Johnny Come Latelys known as the Bay Area. Not to mention we simply don't support one another. Everybody is too worried about themselves to support the next dude. That's why that window is closing on us again. Good music is good music, regardless of a name. I mean, if the Figz didn't have C Bo's endorsement back in 99, would you even know them? Or would it have taken a lot longer? No doubt and in this day, there are 1000 times more "rappers" and I use that term real loosely. An artist is an artist...PERIOD! If you're playin wit it, quit playin and find another hustle.
speak-n of the figz, associated with The Jacka correct...I found that CD 'The Jack Artist' in a pile of garbage, shit was un-wrapped in everything...I open it slapped it in the puter and lost my mind...the shit ain't slap-n its beyond that, its classic shit...I couldn't believe they were from the bay, are they originally from the bay or?....
this topic seems to be brought up on the daily....and its always artist on the rise! truthfully.....EVERY ARTIST FROM THE BAY IS ON THE RISE! until you hit the lotto and get picked up....do what you must to get noticed! if you feel a banner on the SICCNESS will get you sales......by all means spend that money and handle it! If it dont work......dont come back talking negative about the SICCNESS just move on.......and try to find another scheme!
Who was talking negative about the Siccness? I didn't see anyone sayin anything about the Siccness. If you're directin this at me, I'm on my grind Cuz...I didn't expect the siccness to make me platinum or even wood for that matter. Its just another outlet. The job of an artist is to get himself/herself out there in as many capacities as possible. Distribution, promotion, radio play, hustle and most of all GOOD MUSIC...You can put a check by all but the radio play for my current project and we're just a minute away from that. Believe me, ain't no one cryin over here, holmes. We good over here...
I think overall, they get noticed, but its a real quick glance or what not. To me its simply face recognition or product recognition. The more places your name, face, product, etc is seen, the more chance you got to build someone's curiosity enough to cop ya shit. Its one thing to get on here and just do your own little post sayin my cd is out or I got a new single, but the banners at least say u breakin a little bread, feel me? It's just a small peice to a very large puzzle....
