Wanted to hear your opinions on rappers who diss other rappers that they've never met. Not from the same neighborhood or region, never done business together, never met in person, no personal or cultural differences that would be reason to make a diss track.
When I was younger and a little more ignorant I was entertained by diss tracks. I'm listening now to old tracks from a handful of Bay Area rappers who were relentlessly dissing mainstream talent and artists they never even knew. I feel like being older than 15 it comes off as kind of corny, and whether those rappers actually hurt their reputation and networking by making enemies out of people in the business they didn't even know.
