digital performer???

the ogs or seasoned vets how do you like the digital performer(i think thats the right name) this fool uses it at a studio i went to shit seems hella user friendly and i like how easy it to mix and arrange i was thinkin about using this from now on with pro tools instead of going str8 into pro tools from the mpc

It may have looked easy cause thats what he is used to,I had also went to a studio a few years back and he used digital performer as well,and he was flying through it.I think any of those programs are good, sonar,dp,pro tools,logic,cubase,nuendo,they all pretty much accomplish the same thing,maybe different layout,and features,I would say pick one learn it and ..USE.......IT

Yep they are all pretty good if you know what you are doing on them. Technically I think the best sequencer program out there is Logic, if you know it in and out cuz if not you'll find your self in a shit load of navigation problems in that program if you don't know it. I have a friend who swears by DP though, all I know is MOTU makes great wordclocks and midi interfaces and shit like that.

i dont know i just thought it was kinda cool man seemed way simpler see i dont mix i never have im just tired of waiting and relying on people to do my mixs and half the time they fuck them up majorlly
so i figured performer would be easy to grasp the concept of mixing so i could step up to bigger and better

well i use pro tools but i allways just used to dump in tracks and vocals i never really fucked with the mixing features cuz i never wanted to mix shit untill now cuz im fed up with lame ass mixs by half ass dicks
