Your free to vote for whomever you please in the actual election. It's actually a decent policy, b/c it prevents the opposing party to conspire to vote for an opponent whom they feel would have a much better chance of beating in the actual elections...
you can still vote in either primary regardless of which party youre registered as belonging to.

initiatives, my man. they were worth voting for regaurdless of party affiliation. thankfully they all went the right (read: left) way.
