i was reading high times a while back at the store and it said how somewhere in the bible (maybe somewhere else)it talks about there being a ritual, not sure exaclty what it said but something about some oil being rubbed used in such high thc content that it would have stoned you retarded and sent you flying into space(maybe literally maybe not lol)...so my Q is, does the bible say anything about jesus burning the bush? please if anyone gives me a verse to check, maybe add some explanation, ive read some of the bible, and ive yet to understand 2% of what the hell its saying.

i found it funny because i was reading that old topic about judas going to hell or being a pawn and it cracked me up when HEresy responded with this when EDj said about hell not being literal place

"3.if hell or a place of torment is not real YESHUA must have been on some SERIOUS herb. whats the use of preaching about a symbolic hell?"

taking high times lil article into consideration, im begginging to think everything jesus did or said was because he was on some serious herb.lmao.

Most Biblical scholars agree that Jesus did not smoke marijuana, that is not until he met Heman who offered him some dank and they rolled all through the night until the holiest joint ever was created. They celebrated by blazin' and after that, Jesus walked on water, made water turn to wine and so on.

^^The link to the article at the top of the page is what I'm assuming is most valuable. Just to summarize, the argument is that Jesus had to be "annointed" in order to be Christ, and the oil used for anointing was comprised of a shitload of cannabis and olive oil. Now, this implies that he "used" it for a ritual, but not habitually like folks do in these times.

I subscribe to the simple argument that had he used it habitually; and, if there were some biblical verse implying this, you would see that shit on posters and t-shirts worldwide. Hell, I'd probably have owned one at some time or another.

Read Genesis...Plants and trees and herbs bearing fruit and god made sure it was good...I can't quote is exactly but if left up to interpretation, it could mean whatever you want it to.

^THAT'S ALL SPECULATION ABOUT CANNABIS. THE TEXT YOU TALKIN' BOUT IS EXODUS 30:23 AND THE ROOT WORD IS DISPUTED. IT SAYS "CALAMUS" WHICH SOME SAY COMES FROM THE ROOT WORD "KANEH-BOSOM" WHICH MEANS "FRAgRANT CANE". REgARDLESS, RUBBIN' OIL AIN'T gONNA gET YOU HIgH,(ASSUMIN THE OILS CONTAINED CANNABIS)
IF JESUS WAS PERFECT, WHY WOULD HE NEED SOMETHIN' TO ALTER HIS MIND?
AND ABOUT THE HELL PART, HELL IS AN ACTUAL PLACE. IT'S YOUR LITERAL gRAVE. LOOK UP THE WORD "SHEOUL".

yup thats an excellent point. I doubt Jesus smoked herb or anything else that would alter his mindstate.

but Moses and the burning bush? hmm that's another story..

And I'm sure Adam and Eve got high in Eden

good point edj...im not debating the hell is real or not issue, i was just doing some backtracking and thought that quote was funny...but if in fact it was used in rituals, what is the purpose of using them?...like rastas, ive always been skeptikal about their religious use of weed...maybe i aint knowing enough about them, or maybe its because here in the states we mainly use it to get smoked out.

ask a Rasta and he will tell you that Jah put the herb here for man to smoke, and as the Bible says "And God said, Behold I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth" [Genesis 1:29]
and that's true about how in the US most people just smoke "to get smoked out" whereas if you a rasta then you believe that by smokin herb you are doing what Jah intended you to do with it. not only that but the act of smokin and growin herb symbolizes the rejection of Babylon's oppression and the expression of free will

Queber is the word used for a "LITERAL" grave.

Let's examine the following verses for a momment:

Towards the end of Matthew 5:22 we read: whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

If hell is the grave you have a serious problem with this verse. The first problem is you would have to prove all of this is symbolic, but if you read the verses before and after the verse provided you will see that is NOT the case.

The second problem arises when you simply remove hell and place "grave" in its place:

whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of (the) GRAVE fire

Does it make sense to read/say it that way? If so what is Grave Fire?

Take a look at another verse in the same chapter:

In the middle of matt 5:30 you will see: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast in hell.

Now again, remove the word hell from the verse and use grave as a substitution:

for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast in (the) GRAVE.

Well, does that make sense? Isn't your body supposed to be cast in the grave?

Concerning the use of weed (drugs etc) in religion it has ALWAYS been used as a gateway to the spirit world or higher plain. To put it plainly their is no proof of Jesus smoking weed, no undisputed proof that he was annointed with oil containing weed or a by product of weed, no proof that he would need to use weed, and no proof that weed was used by his sect.

I am quoting an Old English translation (KJV) because 99.9% of the people who will read this thread don't understand latin or greek. If you want me to quote from those sources I will (AND WE WILL RUN INTO THE SAME PROBLEM AS WE ARE DOING WITH THE ENGLISH VERSION.)

I'M NOT SPEAKIN' ABOUT A PERSONS PERSONAL gRAVE BUT THE gRAVE OF ALL MANKIND
Next time clarify before you type something like this:

IT'S YOUR LITERAL gRAVE.
Moving on.

WHAT DOES "SHEOUL" MEAN?
I have no idea what "SHEOUL" means. That word is not found in any dictionary known to man.
