as dumb as this may sounds after purchasing an CPU @ bestbuy (well, anywhere), get the warranty. these gadgets are way too expensive and unreliable. you never know what could happen to it from spilling liquid on, dropping it, or even nothing happened and that shit still doesnt work. and to the OP, you shouldve called the store direct before purchasing it thru the website. off topic, speaking of computers, ive seen ads lately on the bus talking about high schools where EVERYONE gets their own personal laptop. crazy.

Never shop for electronics at Best Buy while high as fuck. I swear, I went to buy a iPod hella lit. I thought the worker was gonna grab it and take it to the register. Instead, he went on and on about hard drive issues and how bad I needed the "Geek Squad" setup to help me use it (WTF) and go down a fuckin pamphlet about extended warranty, free shit from Flicker.com if I register on their website, best buy card etc. It literally took about 30 minutes to cop that shit when it only should take 5 minutes.

So yesterday I decide to buy an iMac to replace my broken labtop that I dropped a few days ago. I wanted that shit that night so I go to bestbuy.com and search for the model I want. I check for in store pickup availability, and the nearest store with that model is all the way in Marina, about an hour away. System says it is in stock, and could be picked up 9/20, same day. I say fuckit, select the in store pickup option, pay my $1200 and jam over to Marina. I get there, give the chick my order number. Bitch goes to the back, comes back to the counter and says it will take up to 3 days for the item to arrive. I told her the site said it was in stock and let me pay for the item and had the pickup date for that night. I ask that if the computer department had the item in stock could they just pack my order right then and there, she says yes. I go over to the department, dude brings down the imac model I purchased, takes it to the front. Again, I have to wait for 3 days. WHY BITCH!? The website said you had it, I payed for it. I see the fucker right here besides me, plus there are at least 10 more on the shelf. They thumb their asses for a few minutes, same answer. Dude says I can pay for the one in store, then cancel my in store pickup order which was retarded. Why the fuck am I going to trust you with paying twice when you fuck up something so simple? I call the customer care number as I pace around the store, bitch on the phone says she would give me a 20 dollar credit for my troubles to use on an item when I came back to the store to pick it up. I ask why does the website check for in stock availability, when obviously it doesn't matter. I tell her to cancel my order. I then realize that the transaction is still pending on my card, so now I have to wait a few days to go buy the fucking computer because Best Buy is a fagot. So if you ever need anything, don't use the god forsaken in store pickup option. You're better off just going t the store to purchase whatever you need.

Fuck off best buy bitch.

they had the item in stock, that's how the system IS supposed to work. Buy it before you get there so you can leave the store quicker.

the geek squad warranties are good though cuz it cover accidents, like spilling shit or dropping it. alot of extended warranties dont cover that shit. i got a itouch that i got warranty and a ps3 that i wanna take be4 the time is up to get some new shit

The Marina best buy is fuckin wack and the bog is right next to it so the outside of that shopping center always smells. Not to mention they dont keep up on landscaping. Might not bother some but I notice when the parking lot looks like a damn jungle lol. You would have been better off either ordering online through say newegg or doing in store pickup at bestbuy in santa cruz. Does Salinas have a best buy? I think it was just circuit city until they closed. oh and the really sad thing about that store is its always dead as shit. Going from the modesto or riverbank bestbuy to the one in marina and or in santa cruz was like night and day.
