First the Bush administration took advantage of 911 to inject the Middle East with another dose of Capitalism.

Now racists and closet racists alike are taking advantage of 911 to finally seal off the US/Mexican border.
Lets be real here, this is what it's all about.
Amerikkka isn't really afraid of Arabs sneaking in, they're afraid of Latinos.

I don't know who the fuck these cats think they're fooling with this bullshit.
Too bad I've yet to see any pro immigration public figure say this.
Perhaps it would open the eyes of everyone else falling for this lie.

While I'm on the subject of being real, here's another point.
First, if "terrorists" really wanted to attack, they would.
And none of you can do anything about it.
You can seal off the Southern border all you want but our sea ports are wide open. And then there's the Canadian border to worry about as well.
Here's a question for everyone pissing in their pants in fear,
our best.... America's finest, our troops over in Iraq can't even seal off the Syrian border. What makes you people think they can seal the larger Mexican border????
Go ahead, build a fence and fortify it with troops.
The enemy is already here....

Pendejos....

did you here they have their own country called mexico and they need to stay the fuck out of ours unless they actually put some money in our system instead of leaching off of it...if they don't put any honey in the pot, they dont' get any for their fuckin toast.
Typical rhetorical, ignorant, and unfounded remark.

The irony behind this is that A mexican probably collected the last drip of honey you had.
You're clueless about the fact that your Uncle Sam gets his share of the money they make so no one is leaching anything.
You act like the money they send away doesn't belong to them....

You worry about the money they send to their family's in Mexico, yet you are oblivious about the money our government gives to other nations.
Hell what about the money your Uncle keeps to himself????
It boggles my mind how easily Sam diverts his people's attention only to pick pocket them when they're not looking....

And last, be glad Mexicans aren't reclaiming their stolen land Palestinian style....

Nothing is wrong with what you're doing. If your music sounded like his (vocals not compressed, lacking in eq), no dynamics, saturated in reverb, bad signal to noise ratio and an overall crappy performance you would have something to complain about also.

BTW, what does your school have you working with?

We got a pretty good little set up down here we just got a whole bunch of triton extremes, and a motif and as far as recording equipment we got racks and racks of stuff that im just learning how to use and patch etc.... Not sure what it is called but the new preamp we got is hella dope. and the mics are all top of the line, especially the nuemann u87 we just got. Its a newly formed major at my school but they are diffently doing a good job. also the class on pro tools was really helpful to learn every nook and crannie about the program. Lastly the school is building its own record label with business majors running it, giving the student and opportunnity to get a signed deal with distribution and everything.

Are you guys going directly into a console or is it all HD? Patchbays are usually difficult to grasp at first, but if you were able to understand it and work/configure the routing schemes thats cool. How did your pro tools class go? Do they offer PT certification? Do you like PT? And, who did that beat on your myspace page?

Yea patchbays are kinda hard right now but im startin to catch on a little, the PT class was really helpful and as far as certification the professor is in the talks with Digi to make it a certified class so hopefully by next semester. And we are not HD yet but by next semester we should be. and pro tools is cool, im more of a pc guy and prefer adobe audition but im startin to take a likin to pro tools and mac. and the beat on my myspace was done by me, I was just playin around, but it came out cool.

More and more schools are offering PT certification so if you can get yourself certified do so. It helps to be PT certified if you are trying to get in the big studios and don't have any credits or person to vouch for you. I can't see myself running PT on a mac. I'm a pc head, and the well built pc's have destroyed macs when it comes to pro tools stability and performance (check the digi duc for test results.) So, audition is your thing? You ever tried Cubase SX? What modules/boards/samplers did you use to make the beat on your myspace page?

To tell u the truth that beat on my page was me messing around wit fruity loops. One of my classmates was telling me about it and I decided to give it a try, and the product didnt come out half bad. Yea and I feel you with the certification thing thats why ima retake the class when they offer next semester. yea and as far as the mac, me and a whole bunch of classmates keep pestering the professor to get a PC in the studio and he said he is gonna see what he can do, so hopefully soon I will finally have a PC to work with. Never tried Cubase SX but ill check it out, is it a good program, and what does it do?

You sequence/arrange/mix with SX just like you would with PT or Audtion. I use it for myself but for clients I use PT, and in most big studios I've worked out of I used PT. As for fruityloops I know you've heard the big debate around that program. IMHO if the shit works and helps you make good music go for it. You should have your professor hit the digi duc and search around before he (the school) makes the purchases. So are you guys running PT on a digi 001? 002R? MBOX?

To tell u the truth Im not sure what we are running Pro tools on but i know it is not an mbox, and I know it is pro tools LE (ill ask though). yea and my professor he is a smart guy so if we end up gettin a pc it will probably be a really good one with all the nessacry add-ons. and as far as fruity loops after messing around with it, plus knowing it has the ability to add VST's I think I will probably start using it a little more. plus my professor lent me a whole bunch of vsts that the school owns so I'm set for right now.

@Everyone else I apologize for hi-jacking the thread, but these types of convos are more important than immigration and terrorism.

@Scandal, if you are comfortable using VST's you should be at home in Cubase sx. The makers of SX (steinberg) are the inventors of VST's so you might want to look into it. The only way you can run LE is if you use an mbox, 001, 002 or 002r (which I use at home.) You can run MPOWERED on systems with maudio soundcards (mpowered is a scaled down version of LE.) You ever tried reason?

Yea I apologize for hi-jacking the thread too, but yea ima check out cubase sx. I got a few vsts from my professor (from stienberg) like the grand 2 and a few others, I also got a whole bunch of misc ones. and as far as PT LE im pretty sure it is the 002 rack, but then again like i said earlier we are switching to hd next semester so im looking forward to that. ive tried reason and to tell u the truth I didnt really like it to much, probably cause all the patching which im still learning to do on real racks.
