DJ Fresh and Pat Nice (Nice and Fresh)
I don't know if I already made a post about this or not, but here it goes..
The winter/spring 2009 issue of Demencha Magazine has been out for about five weeks. If you don't have it yet, head up to 7th Heaven on Troost, 7th Heaven in Blue Springs, Zebedee's Records on 39th, Prospero's Books on 39th or Surf Brothers in Raymore, MO and cop one. They're on the magazine racks at all these places and they're going for just two dollars.
The next issue of the magazine (the spring/summer 2009 issue) wll come out on May 15th. Cover stories include a soul singer out of Topeka named Reggie B and DJ/production duo Tactic. Reggie B (http://www.myspace.com/reggiebplaneth) is easily one of the most talented singers and producers in our area and possibly otherwise.
Tactic (http://www.myspace.com/tactickc) plays and produces club music, which these days can mean just about anything. Their tracks have been played in clubs around the world by the likes of Diplo, Flosstradamus and Tittsworth. They've recently landed a gig at NV every Saturday night and have started a new label called Think 2Wice Records.
We've still got some space to fill for the next issue of the magazine. We're looking to do at least one album review over something that is local, relatively new, and DOPE, above all else. If you would like to submit your music to us for review, hit us up at [email protected] or myspace.com/demencha.
***Notice: We cannot guarantee any interviews or reviews over your music. What we can guarantee is that we will listen to your music all the way through***
ALSO - up on our blog, http://www.demencha.com, we have featured tracks from the likes of Joe Vertigo, mixes from DJ Shad, new Baltimore Club and juke tracks from DJ Class and DJ Slugo, and a new track from Young Jeezy - "Done It All," which some of you may not have heard yet...
PEACE
