Del is a legend too. Been in the game for 16 years, has about 6-7 albums (solo and group), has a cult following, along with a different swagger on his own.

but del vs nas is interesting. del would crush nas in a freestyle battle but if you let nas write a song in battle, nas takes the trophy.

both are legends in their own rights. if you say someone like andre nickatina or lynch is a legend, del has got weight on them too so dont count him out. nas and del are two of my fave rappers.

Uhhh...hip-hop=rap. They are the same thing. Matter of fact, rapping is only a PEICE of hip-hop CULTURE...along with DJing, breaking, and graffeti.

It completely baffles me that people think rap and hip-hop are 2 different things. Hip-hop is the art and rapping is the art form. Just like you dont call some one in the Culinary Arts a culinary artist...he/she is called a CHEF.

rap now adays is classified an sectionafied in so many ways...all this shit on the radio is crap. watered down industrialized noise. i cant even call it music. hi-hop is words flowing with beats..a story to tell per se.

I think that alot of peopel are basing opinons on the fact that Nas is an amazing lyrcist and artist, but how many people have really looked seriously into Del's lyrics go look at that Deltron 3030 album, I dont think its close, if Del had the hype that Nas has had from being A. Dope as shit and B. East Coast based, We would we talkn about Del like he is "hip hop" or in the same breath as Raekwon, Tupac, and Biggie. Hieroglyphics and Del has been so far ahead of the game most dont even notice.
