DFB make crunk music, is it so hard to understand? It's not intended to be deep

You can't listen to Slug crying about how much he's depressed all the time

BTW the track is a tight, I don't mind if they keep fuckin up hip-hop the same way

@ the last 2 post. Iz y'all 2 niggaz drunk?! I'm not tryin 2 compare them 2 Nas, Rich The Factor or C-Bo. Them niggaz iz just garbage. I'm not gonna say that they fuckin up Hip Hop cuz their are tonz of different thingz fuckin up hip hop not just one group. Them niggaz have nothin 2 offer a person with a pair of eardrums.

The funny thing about DFB iz that I didn't even know that they were even behind the "Lean Wit It Rock" bullshit before thiz thread. I don't watch videoz & listen 2 the radio so I never knew. I would hear it @ the club sometimez & waz like " thiz shit iz hella garbage". LOL!! DFB iz garbage & niggaz in the south need 2 boycott thiz bullshit instead of defending it so y'all can stay relevent cuz az soon az y'all not on top anymore we gonna be seeing threadz from niggaz in the south talkin about who fucked it up hip hop 4 the south just like them Bay niggaz be doing in the B.A.R.T. forum. When y'all defend shit like thiz don't get mad when niggaz come down on y'all hella hard. I love the south so I'm not hatin but what I'm speakin iz real az fuck.

Lean With It Rock With It is garbage, I agree, but their album is much better than their singles, and their first album was very solid too, of course both albums are good if you're lookin for some crunk shit, not for lyrics

BTW what's the difference between the goofy party raps from the 80s and snap and hyphy music? Besides the difference between the 80s and the 2000s? Of course we hear more about rimz and bitches now, but that's because shit got much more materialistic in general (and I don't mean just hip-hop, 20 years are a lot of time and the world and the way people think has changed a lot; so has music); other than that it's all the same type of party and club music and I'm sure most of y'all started listening to hip-hop because of that, not because of Mos Def. These guys are not the greatest lyricist, neither the greatest beatmakers we've ever heard, but their music has that feel that's lost in most of today's hip-hop or at least I can hear it in it and I can't hear it in Jedi Mind Tricks or whatever great lyrical group you claim is the shit.

I did get 2 hear there first cd & that shit sucked too. Like I said in my previous post. Your defending a group thatz obviosly iz wack so don't get mad when niggaz come down hard on the south.

The big difference between snap music & the party shit from the 80's iz that music iz a lot more complex now then what it waz 20 yearz ago. IMO a person doesn't have 2 be a great lyracist 4 me 2 fuck with they music but atleast try 2 act like u trying to make sensable wordplay.

No direspect 2 my southern niggaz but why do everytime an artist or group from the south come out & they have wack azz lyricz & flow y'all quick 2 defend them when itz painfully obvious how garbage they are. Itz niggaz with garbage lyrical content & flowz from the West, Midwest & East az well but it seemz like people in the south imbrace will give a pass 2 a artist/group no matter how wack they are & the first thing I notice that come out y'all mouth iz how y'all not checkin 4 lyrics. Southern playaz holla @ me.

I've said this 100000 times: you can have all the great lyrics you want if your beats suck, your whole music suck (which is the case with 99% of the lyrical rappers); I can't stand listening to some dude spitting one metaphor after another on a beat that makes my ear bleed (and that is very common)

What am I going to do? Stop listening to rap? I'm not from the South if that matters so the argument "Y'all from the South are quick to defend bullshit just because it's from your region" doesn't apply. I listen to Southern rap because there's nothing better (and yes, Southern rap today ain't what it used to be 10 years ago). I know now I'll get a long ass list with 100+ names of great lyrical rappers, save yourslef the effort, I've heard them all and they all suck. Until they realise what good hip-hop used to be and how it was made and stop trying to save it, then maybe I'll start listening to them. I don't know if this will ever happen though, "true heads" are too busy calling everybody else garbage when their own shit is just as bad, if not worse

Don't get me wrong, I don't like most of the music coming form the South today just as much as you; Rick Ross, Yung Dro and all the other faceless Jeezy, T.I. and Lil Wayne clones who appeared last year are total trash;

maybe you'll understand what I'm tryin to say when you hear D4L's album which is pure garbage IMO and compare it to DFB's album which I think is good

There are a lot of tight lyracist with shitty azz beatz but I like 2 hear morevthen just a beat. If I wanted 2 listen 2 beatz & didn't think lyrics were important then I'd get the instramental. DFB rhymes sound so corny that the beat don't mean shit cuz they're sayin a bunch of nonsense. Good rhymez & shitty beatz don't mix but neither do shitty lyrics & decent production.
