aight, this compilation is put out by HoggLife ent. its a aight comp.. but theres a lotta recycled shit on it.

1. To Live and Die in CA: Daz and Skee 64

-this is a short track, beat is pretty cool. has bells in the backround that sound like One Love off of Nas' Illmatic. Daz and Skee both spit on point, this is a cool track to start this shit off to. Hook is pretty tight to. 7/10

2. UH: 847

-first impressions when you hear this: wack beat, weak hook, weak verses. not even gonna review this one. 2/10

3. Get Paid: Bad Azz, Lowlifes, Sylk E. Fyne
Produced By: Fingaz
-tight beat on this one. kinda fast paced.. i dont really feel the dudes spittin tho.. hook is kinda weak too. Sylk E. definatly spits the tightest verse on this. 5/10

4. Win Lose or Draw: Gangsta Dre

-Dre on the beat for this.. shit has like a organ in the back, but its fast paced. theres a whistle type thing that is annoying. Dre, however, makes up for the flaws in the beats by spittin that hogg shit. Pretty ill song. 7/10

5. Make Money: Xzibit, Soopafly, King Tee

-Xzibit starts this off real fast, and hes tight as fuck. The beat is kinda weird.. the drums dont seem like they go with the other instruments. The other dudes besides X im not feelin really. 6.5/10

6. I Ain't Playin: Yukmouth, Mal B, J-Mack, Hollow Tip

-Yukmouth starts it out first, and he's tight. "niggaz claimin king of oakland, with no credentials.." it almost seems like hes talkin about someone in this. Mal B sounds kinda like Skee 64 to me. J-Mack rips this up. Hollow is tight as fuck too. tight cut. 8.5/10

7. Make It Happen: Outlawz, Ghetto Stars, Baby Bubb

-this beat is off the hook rite here! Outlawz spit sick ass verses! Dubb 20 is the 2nd dude on here, and he's tight, real tight. Not all the Stars spit, cuz Freak-o isnt in this. But Outlawz dont outshine them at all. one of the sickest tracks on here. 9/10

-KG comes with a really tight beat on this. T-Nutty Nut? hard. period. problem? i'm pretty sure all these verses are recycled, i know a few of them are cuz i've heard them before. maybe some of them are new. This shit is like 4 or 5 verses tho, 6:01. Tightest track on the CD. 9.5/10

-beat on this is OOOOK. nothin special. dont feel Keak, and i didnt feel these Turf Hoggs really. They are aight i guess. 5/10

with this comp, you either got really tight shit, or really weak shit. there really isnt that much in between. i wish they woulda put different shit on here, but i realize its all about the nor cal so cal connection on this shit.

tha woodie song is weak...for a woodie song..tnuttys song is 9 by this cats reviews but it aint nothin i'd listen to more than twice a week..if that..in tha ride...u know damn well fi tha turf hogs song is weak than tha whole cd is weak...bootleg this shit...dont waste ur money

On the real...the comp aint bad...better than most out there...but the mix downs werent great...the bassline on the T-Nutty song was way distorted...and the mixdown on the Xzibit cut was awful....

And i thought D-Mack ripped it...hed filthy,always has been...but the Yuk song is the shit thought...MAAAAAAAAAAAN that shit is shittin on everything right now!

too much. i heard daz didn't want his name to be on there.
on dpgrecordz he says something bout it but thats wut i heard.

i like woodies track and some others. but it is not a great cd
for sure

Opinions are all good, if you dont like it, you dont like it. But telling folks to go out and bootleg someones shit - fuck all that. I see in your sig you got a record comin out too - as soon as that drops, youre in the same position as Hogglife. My fav cuts on this album are

#1 Daz
#6 with Yukmouth
and my hands down favorite cut on this album is the Ecay Uno track #12.. his album is about to be shittin on most if not everything out when it drops in January. I can't wait to hear it...

Keep droppin them releases Hogglife and doin the damn thang! That's bossin up with 8 albums! Good luck with all them projects..
