two examples of why ill pick ecay over lynch right now:

1) trigganometry
2) madesicc mixtape
That's coo, but NONE of those are BLH albums...

I cant stand NOW EAT(overall) but that has NOTHING to do with BLH and his solo albums...

dinner and a movie will never even come out, so i cant comment on this so called alleged PRESENT TIME BLH music, beyond trigganometry and the madesicc mixtape.

which is why it was brought up.

apparently, C-Lims album is more important.

i'm a big DE fan though, so i might say i'd pick de over anyone in SD..but thats an acquired taste bieng that alot of people dont even fuck w/ de.

I feel it, but I also know ALL them niggas is underground...they album will come out when it comes out...It took Mitchy's USS a minute to drop but it did and when it finally did, I still checked it out...I know Ecay is working on a new one and his last solo has been out for a while...It'll drop eventually...

I dont get upset because them niggas are taking too long to drop(im not saying you are)...shit happens....when it drops I will check it out...that's it...in the meantime, I have my fulltime job and a Master's degree that im working on....I got enough music to listen to in the meantime...I have never stopped liking an artist because they took too long to drop an album...I might say "damn, you taking too long" but that doesnt cause me to stop liking their music..I judge the music regardless how long it takes to release....

I wish all my favorite underground artists would release music more often in a shorter time, but that's the way it is...

yeah i wasnt particularly saying that i stopped liking lynch because hes taking forever to drop his album

but if one person isnt dropping music for a huge block of time like you say, i look elsewhere...

in that sense my favorites are subject to change based on maybe what type of mood ive been in or what type of sound im looking for...

as blh gets deeper into his career i no longer expect him to do what he used to do on his classics, and that might be why i liked lynch by inch so much.

but taste is definately a opinion in many ways...i think i'm just sort of feeling the direction some of our rappers are going in.

thats not to take away from classic material, but classic material is just that...it dosent really make or break an artist in a present sense to me.

and with time passing sometimes...i grow out of artists....like i dont listen to the same shit i did 6-7 years ago, yknow...

^ i agree..it goes both ways homie..

to be real i think sac and diego are on the same page..we can come togehter and make some shit that rap has never seen..

but like escobar said..yall in sac dont know about diego..niggas in diego know about sac cuz we up on game..

we grew up listening to x raided and lynch...

but understand sac had its wind...we used to bump yall shit..

now diego gettin noticed..be on our side just like we supported sac..

that all im sayin

cuz sd got love for yall....we both in the same bucket..come and fuck with us and you know its real across the board. tight mcs from sd to sac.

sd and sac run cali on the low...if you ask me..thats where all the dope niggas is from.

sac got some unfuckwithable mcs..like lynch cos and de...and san diego got thy own too..jayo big june and mitchy..

once against like escobar said tho..us in sd know about sac..we know about all your underground niggas..but yall aint up on us yet...theres alot of heat comin out here..

but ill admit when sd wasnt crackin niggas was fuckin with sac as far as music...xraided and lynch styed in a niggas cd player.

Now Dago got Criccett & his beats slap. Ecay iz good too but his beats sound too lod skool sometimes

That's the truth. When I was living in S.Cali I was always buyin shit from Awol & Black Market. I was livin in LA when I first heard of Mitch. I said waaaaaayyy back in like 2000 when I first heard Mitch "man, this dude has superstar charisma & raw mic skills that are not even mastered yet". I knew SD was next in line. I was already a big Jayo fan so I already knew Dago was next 2 blow.

@Gas..... a my nigga. I gotta get my hands on some SD CD's & mixtapes down that way like the Yellowtape mixtape, Murder Game mixtape, Bay Loc etc. That shit iz impossible 2 find up here. I need ur help on findin them since u up on game on all the SD shit. Look out 4 my pm in the future. When I get'em I'm getting them by the box. My pm might come in a few months but its comin. Imma hit u my nigga.

There was a time when 90% of the shit I listend to was SAC shit, those times are long gone...its not even remotely close to the level of music that dropped in the 1990s...

Im not even up on either city right now to give an opinion but I need to check more artist out..

btw..watever happened to Lil C.S. from Dago? I got his first two albums but aint heard of dude in years...

"gangstas cant rap, nerds can"

last i knew...hip hop and rap was built on gangsters and tough guys..

afrika bambatta and melle mel wasnt no nerds, homie...

that nerd shit didnt even pop off till the early to mid 90s..

and it faded out in less than 7 years

nothing that nerd rappers do was part of the original blueprint of rappers
