If you do not have the BASIC infrastructure, technology and means to implement and manage basic sewer systems, etc., as a result of being raped by capitalism, then yes, more often then not you'll see extreme poverty like the pictures shown. Just take a look at Africa in general and understand the insane amount of colonialism, imperialism, and straight up rapeage of their people and land for centuries that led to the extreme poverty you see today. You cannot blame the oppressed for being oppressed and poor, you blame the oppressor!!
Many countries are stuck in some oldschool day shit because they don't have the means to advance (or are not allowed to). Before the toilet and sewage systems were implemented where did people shit in europe and early day america? In buckets. And those buckets were dumped in the streets or out their windows. So yes, there was a time when even the all powerful white man shit & pissed where he slept. Not much different.
Just because you don't see it doesn't mean our trash isn't going to other places of the globe. Some of those pictures are their own trash, which as I explained is because they are poor as fuck and don't have the infrastructure, means or basic education to know any better. But other pictures, like the Nigeria one, might suggest a more sinister story. And again, just because you don't see it doesn't mean it doesn't exist, you don't have to visit Antarctica to know that there is waste being dumped there.
Anyways, it's very naive and selfish to not point at least SOME of the finger at the US when the simple fact is WE, as a country, are the most wasteful and the planet (over 20 billion diapers a year is a tiny example). In addition to that, the US has oppressed and continues to oppress poor countries through various means and it's nearly impossible for many countries to grow or advance from the shit holes they currently find themselves in.

Wait, wait, wait.. So you're basically saying littering is somehow racial?? As if white people don't litter just as much? Maybe it has to do with the quality of neighborhood. Let me guess, a lot of these places are poor ? Go to an all white, all american trailer trash community. Emphasis on the word TRASH. Maybe classism is a more important factor. Furthermore, what is one of the biggest complaints when americans vacation in other countries, especially exotic places where the natural landscape is very important? That we litter too much!
And americans placing their baby diapers in the trash is much different?

The so called helping hand from america more often then not comes with a hefty price. But regardless of this, your statement really has nothing to do with what I just said. Just because America might give aid in times of need does not mean they aren't an oppressive country. If a slave owner gives his slave some bandages after he whips him that doesn't make him compassionate now does it?

Sometimes you have to be there and to get to know the people to understand why it is a certain way, that for us looks so crazy.
My wife is from a small village in the mountains of Hunan. She belongs to a Chinese Minority. When I went there for the first time (first foreigner to ever go there), we were ridin up the mountain road in a little tractor/truck kind of thing. I had a plastic bottle of Sprite, which was empty. I was holding on to it till I got a chance to throw it into a garbage can or something. My father in law looked at me and told me to throw the bottle out of the window. I was like 'nah, can't be throwing garbage around' lol. He then just grabbed it and threw it out. Later in their little village, I saw that basically every house has kind of a dump or place were they throw the waste. Most of the time just in front or next to the house. That shit made me kind of sad/angry, because it is actually quite a beautiful place. But then over the time I understood, that these people had been living perfectly like this for thousands of years, till suddenly everything they needed came with plastic. Everything else they had before vanished over time. Another thing is, that there is no garbage removal/collection except for in big cities. Most of these people are so poor that they have too little to live and too much to die.
And this is like in alotta places over the world. No Education, No Money, No garbage collection + plastic = those pics.
Still have to say that my wifes hometown is still a beautiful place. Nothing compared to the posted pics...
