I'll read through the whole thread later, but I think the bears got raped in this deal. 4 1st rounders in two years for Denver? Fuck man, plus I think ortom will manage a game better than cutler.....Denver coming back soon
What? The Bears gave up 2 1st round picks, one this year and one next year....where did you get 4 from???

Also Bears get a 3rd round pick sometime in next years draft or in 2011.

Does Denver go after a QB in the draft? They are kinda forced to know. It sucks to becuase this year's crops are kinda lame. Next year will be a slew of gun slingers. Myabe Nate Davis? Maybe they trade up and try and snatch Stafford? What about Josh Freeman, who is steadily moving up the list over the last 2 weeks?

we now have 4 1st rounds in 2 years...bears 2 and our own 2.

I wouldnt be surprised of they taker a late flyer on a qb but I see them probably waiting untril next year unless something crazy happens and they can move up for cheap

Giving up 2 first rounders and Orton was worth it. Jerry Angelo is a idiot when it comes to evaluating first round talent. His first 2 in Chicago was Michael Haynes DE out of Penn State(Bust) and Mr. "Fuck it go deep" Rex "Super Bowl XLI MVP" Grossman. 2005 he chooses Cedric "I quit, I'm not going back in even for the Super Bowl" Benson. I'll admit he picked Tommie Harris, but that was to please Lovie Smith because Lovie needed a dominant DT and was in love with Harris. Now in rounds 2-7 Angelo is pretty good. 2003 round 2 selection of Charles Tillman, 2003 round 3 selection Lance Briggs, 2004 round 3 selection of Bernard Berrian, 2004 round 4 selection of Nathan Vasher, 2005 round 4 selection of Kyle Orton, 2006 round 2 selection of Devin Hester, 2006 round 5 selection Mark Anderson, and 2008 second round selection Matt Forte. So getting a Pro Bowl QB to me will be worth it, of course we still need WR help, but this is a step in the right direction.
This is 100% true, JA SUCKS in first round picks but finds diamonds in the later rounds.

If I were denver I'd start Orton and see how he does next season. He did show some improvement last year so I'd give him a chance and address the other issues first (defense). If orton sucks then next year I'd draft a QB

I will now predict that the bears will play in the superbowl...a lot of you hate on cutler but his record with denver when their opponents were held under 21 points was 13-1...He was never the reason they lost...The sorry ass defense and having 7 rbs hurt last year was why...if not for his arm they wouldnt have won 3 games last year....Earl Bennett hasnt got a chance in chicago since he was drafted outta vandy....I predict 100 catches for him this year...I go to a lot of vandy games and its like they had the montana/rice vibe going there....cutler is the future of the nfl....Go look at mannings first 2 years as a starter and come back and tell me cutler is sorry after his first 2 years...Almost every one of you guys in here talking shit about him would kill to have him on your team but youre in denial...I just wish my dolphins had tried to get him
your a vandy homer!!!...chicago in the superbowl is a reach even if they had a great wr along side hester.....there d played just as bad as thier o did last year...everyone had high hopes on Earl Bennett...but the reason he wasnt on the field was he didnt have the playbook grasped...thats not the bears fault...Earl's heart and dedication to the game has been a question threw out college...put 2 and 2 together

Cutler is a great fit for the bears...kinda steep for 2 1st but chicago has been looking for a legit QB for HOW LONG? (before i was born)

looks like it worked out good for both sides....pending Cutlers success and what the broncos do with thier 1st round picks....

blockbuster trade tho

^^^^^^^^Chicago in the super bowl is not a reach......They will go hard!!! That Defense With Urlacher and Briggs will beast out even harder now that they have an offense that can put up points.......Thats all they needed was a legit Q.B.....Neckbeard wasnt that bad, but this is a major upgrade......Forte running the ball......They will draft a legit wide out........And be off the map this year........

briggs and urlacher been beasting....everyone is worried about thier CBs and safteys...they seemed to get torched more then thier fair share of time....

chicago in the sb is a reach...and a far one.....they need to take the divsion back before that happens...Vikes are still better then them...with Sage thier even better....Packers are just as good as em "on paper"

^^to be fair both of their CB's had injuries last year. When both are healthy, Vasher & Tillman, I do believe they are amongst the best CB's in the league.

Our CB's are zone oriented CB's, meaning they need a good pash rush. Every CB will eventually get burned if they don't have a pass rush helping them. Rod Marinelli will fix this problem, we get our pass rush back, mark my words Bears D will be top 5 next year.

OK, but what if he DOESNT work out? They need a backup and QB would be an obvious choice in this year's draft, unless they wanna wait til next year. Expect another 8-8 season or WORSE if that happens.

denver is in rebuilding mode, i dont think anyone expected them to win the super bowl this year anyway.....4 first round picks in the next two years is big for them. ...orton starting with simms as a back up is just fine. theyre gonna go back to running the ball anyways....

4 1st round picks are only "big" for them if they pan out....denver hasnt been drafting well when it comes to role players in the first round....look it up....if they dont pan out they got a whole bunch of huge contracts they got to deal with...nothing in the nfl is a "gimmie".....its going to take years to see how this trade effects both teams

ok, let me put it in simple simon terms for your dumb ass.....Having four first round picks in the next two years is big for Denver. of course we dont know who theyre going to draft yet, but the oppurtunity to have 4 first round picks is HUGE for any team, and that goes for Tennesse too. I mean, they dont even got to pick, they can trade one for a huge free agent name, they can trade the pick for additional picks, so again i say..FOUR FIRST ROUND PICKS IN THE NEXT TWO YEARS IS HUGE FOR DENVER
