Yup to acquire Cutler, the Bears had to give up quarterback Kyle Orton and first-round picks in 2009 and 2010, a source said.

To complete the trade, the Broncos had to give back a third-round pick in 2009.

Stole that from espn.com

great move by the bears even tho its apparent that cutler is a pre primadonna....it's just too bad they didn't give up grossman instead of Orton....now Denver has the God of all QB's in King Neckbeard and will dominate the afc west for decades

Jay Cutler told FOXSports.com Wednesday night that he thought he would be traded to an NFC team. He was right.

Cutler has been traded to the Chicago Bears for two first-round picks, a third-round pick and quarterback Kyle Orton, FOXSports.com has learned.

Denver will receive Chicago's first- and third-round pick in this year's draft, and Chicago's first-round pick in 2010, along with Orton. The Bears get Cutler and the Broncos' fifth-round pick this year.

Cutler has been feuding with the team since new Broncos coach Josh McDaniels pursued a trade with New England for former Patriot, and current Kansas City Chief quarterback Matt Cassel.

McDaniels was never able to rebuild a relationship with a quarterback who felt spurned. Cutler was so angry that he never reported for the team's offseason program — a decision that reportedly costing him a $100,000 workout incentive.

In a team-issued statement Tuesday, Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said his attempts and those by McDaniels to reach Cutler for the past 10 days were "unsuccessful."

"A conversation with his agent earlier (Tuesday) clearly communicated and confirmed to us that Jay no longer has any desire to play for the Broncos," Bowlen said. "We will begin discussions with other teams in an effort to accommodate his request to be traded."

However on Wednesday, in an exclusive interview with FOXSports.com, Cutler refuted many of the team's characterizations, saying it was the Broncos who had not contacted him.

"I didn't want to get traded," Cutler told FOXSports.com. "This wasn't me. (The Broncos) had been going back and forth saying things, wanting me to be their quarterback and then they didn't. I really didn't want this. I love Denver. I really like my teammates. I didn't want it to get this far."

A 2006 first-round draft choice, Cutler is coming off his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2008. Cutler had a 62.3 completion percentage, tossing 25 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in a 4,526-yard passing campaign. But the Broncos failed to reach the playoffs for a third consecutive season, leading to the offseason firing of 14-year head coach Mike Shanahan.

wtf?? Cutler sucks, I don't understand why he got all this attention in the first place, he had like one good year and a bunch of rex grossman/alex smith type years. The guy seems like a big pussy on top of that. King Neckbeard was getting better too.

da bears gave up waaaay too much for him. Two first round picks and a third round pick? crazy talk.

The media is so obsessed with the NFL and reporting each and every little thing it hyped this shit up to the point where teams were convinced he's a good QB.

Fuck it, I'll support him by default cuz he's now a bear, but it's going to take time to get used to him, hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

I will say one thing, I think Cutler will make Forte better because Cutler can put up some numbers and defense will need to respect the pass and not stack the line every play like they did last year. Expect a big year from Forte.

I guess da bears also picked up orlando pace, but that guy is injured all the time as well as some other offensive lineman (cant remember who) so hopefully o-line is improved. Making a move for Holt at WR, even though he's old he still has skills and is a threat. Hester on one side, Holt on the other with olsen at TE. Not too bad.

lol, I hope so. You know I never once picked a team other than da bears when I played online??

**Sidenote, when the fuck did ESPN start jocking Kyle Orton?? They are seriously acting like he's going to be a pro bowler and next john elway. I swear the espn fags hate da bears for some reason. Ok, a few days ago culter is a pro bowler, top 5 QB, now he's a BUM and Orton is Elway. smh

There are some decent WR's in the draft that will be available when the Bears come to the poduim...look for Crosby, Murphy or even Heyward-Bey to be there in the second round.

Shit, in a couple mock drafts, ive seen Robiskie and even Nicks goign to the Bears (although both have been shwon to go way before the Bears 2nd round in a bunch of others).
