^^ Sounds like hate to me "You won't get far tho" WTF? That ain't hate. Please.... off top from the Liquid Assets mix joint through to this one, Duna been sounding a lot more hungry than a lot of cats this year. That's potential to me. SMH @ 'won't get far'.....

Regardless of the recycles dude got heat, for cats who ain't heard the tracks before to me as an album Crack Baby is knocks from front to back. I ain't mad at him for wanting to put out a first CD on Thizz that got all the knocks on it, a lot of people didn't catch it first time round will get em now and that's good hustle. It ain't like folks who put out the SAME tracks on the SAME label with the SAME distro and SAME audience. That's weak.

And not to twist this thread but anyone yappin about recycles but don't actually got a real ass copy of the CD with the tracks they complaining about, fall back, or post up a flick of your CD and then make a comment. I don't necessarily mean this thread but too many cats whining about shit and it's all on downloads. You know what I'm talking about!! Fuck people bitching like they been ripped off and they never actually bought the CD...

To me it dont make sense puttin recycled songs / verses on an album unless you're 10 years in the game and releasin a fuckin Greatest Hits CD.

If 1000 people bought the first album and liked it, they're gonna expect another TIGHT Album but they get like 6 new songs and 6 recycled songs and they wouldnt even know it CAUSE THERE IS NO TRACKLIST ON IT! LMAO!

HE WON'T GET FAR cause thats what I call rippin people off...
^^

You got it REAL twisted though dog. Don't you see how many threads over the years on here had people talking about snatching up that OG CD from some artist. A lotta times people don't cop the OG CD so those tracks come out again on a release on a label with bigger distribution and reach.

Ain't no shame in that game. A lotta famous cats did it and no one hated on them because they was glad to catch the tracks on another release. Not everyone gets near the first release if that's strictly independent with no distribution. Cats may have downloaded it... but did they have the CD.

And that's my point. Anyone on here complaining need to throw up that OG Duna CD and prove they being ripped off because the numbers moved don't lie so a lot of people is bitching only off having downloaded it before. If that is all cats have done, it's truly lame to be dissing dude for recycling.

Real recycling is those cats who release the same tracks on different albums on same label where there's no reason why folks can't cop either. But having an OG CD and then taking those tracks to a bigger label, a lotta cats do that, see how many in MurderDog talk about their SECOND album on major label.

So on point - throw up a flick of the OG Duna CD and then speak on it (not just you personally but anyone). I know for a fact that CD was ripped and a lotta people got it like that. I also know a lot of people don't got the real thing and anyone who knows my collection knows I know whats up.

I would never bitch about recycling if I had only heard the tracks before off a download, to me that's is a complete bitch-move and the most suspect shit ever. I don't even talk on a CD on here unless I cop it, you gotta earn the right to talk down on the next man, in this case as a CUSTOMER*.

*And not just a prospective customer. That means nothing. It's like cats who are basically like "I'm not buying your CD you suck" Well if that's your opinion just mind you business and keep it moving, if you didn't pay anything why you gotta speak on it? What business is it of yours?

Okay I'm kinda on a bigger subject here but BART/Siccness fell off a little bit on the album review tip when cats started feeling they could pass comment without even having purchased the album. People can download, and if they don't like they can move on. But download and then hating has GOT to stop.

That's real spit.

I have both releases of Duna's and plan on getting this one as well. I also have the Duna Mixtape and he got that fire.

Sorry DJ Rob Fernandes but I don't share your opinion. I won't throw no goddamn Duna cd up, cause I ain't got one. But I don't have the downloaded mp3s either. And don't tell me I'm whining. I'm just stating my opinion and I have a right to do it, cause I'm a potential customer of this product. You don't have to buy it to KNOW that it contains recycled songs.

It's good that I read Siccness, so I know that Crack Baby has 6 recycled tracks. And I don't give a damn how you apologize it. Different label, small pressing blah blah blah. Were they on any other release before? Yes. Then we've got recycled tracks, end of the story, sorry.

Eventually I'll buy Duna's first two cds (I believe there's an album and the mixtape). But I probably won't buy this one, thanks to Siccness.

And yes, that's kind of interesting... why there's no tracklist on the back cover? :).

^^ KhameNei it's nothing, you know your music and you been on here for a minute, I ain't mad, it's good to disagree but we're making different points fam. REALLY. If you hear that it's recycled and that is useful information to you, then it's all good. But if you didn't buy the previous CD, as you mentioned, how is it a reason for you to be mad?

I feel ya on getting the tip-off from the Siccness on whats really, but if the message is a lotta tracks is recycled and you didn't buy or download the tracks that is recycled, what is the problem? At the very least, with respect to you fam, it's not your business to pass comment because he didn't do YOU no wrong.

That's the shit that gets me. People use that word 'hater' a lot, but when you break that down, what folks really mean is any situation where one man speaks bad of the next man when there is no score to settle and no reason to do so. In other words the next man did you no wrong so if you speak on his hustle, you ARE hating. Point blank.

Like: if you cop a CD and you're disappointed because it's weak or recycled, well then that dude DID you wrong, he has your money, you got a shitty CD. If you want to speak on it then that's nothing, you have a score to settle. That is NOT hate. That's your right.

But when folks haven't bought the CD, then dude has done NOTHING to you, absolutely nothing, so to speak bad of his game, that's just hate. Y'all should let him be him and you be you. That's why I suggested people show they got the CD before they talk bad.

And when folks are speaking off having downloaded a joint, then that shit is even worse because technically they did dude wrong for bootlegging his shit, then they're speaking bad of him too, and he's done nothing to them. That's some two-times faulty behaviour.

Anyway, it's nothing fam, it's not even about Duna, it's a bigger point that has needed saying a couple of times but figuring that Duna is on the come-up, I thought it was worth making now when dude is getting bashed about CD's a lotta people don't even got.

Peace

One other thing - when the dude John said 'Ya Wont Go Far' I thought that shit was weak because it's hella arrogant and ignorant to assume if YOU don't like someone's hustle, that gives you the right to believe your opinion dictates their future.

None of us, not one of us, can speak for everyone else, or even begin to assume that we automatically represent an artists market. When Baby Beesh was getting hate on here he was selling more CD's than he ever did in Potna Deuce to a different market altogether.

JT Tha Fig has gone hella far and people STILL speak on his hustle. And the Team put It's Gettin Hot on two successive CD's and no one is writing them off. Whether you like some dudes hustle or not, let them do their thing and speak up when you buy the CD.

15 years ago if there had been a Siccness would cats have really been saying they would never buy Mac Dre again and that Dre wouldn't go far just because Young Black Brotha had recycles from What's Really Going On? Now both of 'em are classics...

i guess thas the question can you hate on recycled material if you've never heard the original?....like DJ Rob said...there is a big defference in recycled music....the first 2 duna cd is im sure out of print, i cant find them shits anywhere.....so if i cant get them original cd anywhere, why would i be mad at the label release? if the first time you heard these recycled tracks on the crack baby cd, than it's not an issue right?

all i know is a lot of kats dont even know who Duna is...and if you aint never heard Duna but been readin about these recycled tracks, that doesnt make sense why you wouldnt listen....you aint heard the shit anyways...i dont know....this shit is funny to me....and actually tho, i have all them Duna cd's , i think Duna has something along the lines of the allmighty MD, for me as long as it's got some new tracks on it, im copp it f'sho! but i got money in the bank so i can do that....

I still bought this cd, regardless of the recycles. It just sucks when you've already heard a bunch of songs on it. That's the best part about buying a new cd, you get to hear brand NEW music. This cd is still tight though.
