Hey Gabe, Im just wondering, but why in the world is their someone out there, let alone the one who has the rights (Walker B) who would not want Cougnuts album released? I mean it cant do anything but benefit the rap scene, and even this individuals pockets quite frankly, so why wouldnt you want to put out some of the best music that Frisco has ever put together? I thought that people who usually had the rights to music, were people that had feelings/friendship for that artist...and would want to keep a legacy alive..This is a Cougnut album, the one and only, I just don't get it.
He doesn't have the rights to anything, he was trusted with some of the music. Half of it is in good hands at TC's, where TC, Drawz, Cellski, Baldhead etc are working on getting it out. Walker's got some tracks that are needed and he isn't returning Fresh's calls. To answer your question, I got no idea why. The people mentioned above aren't in it for the money, maybe Walker was hoping to make some money. That's the problem, there's some greedy motherfuckers out there, just like the foul shit goin on with Mac Dre, snakes fighting to eat scraps of a man's legacy.
As a youngsta growin up in the View and listenin to coug, made u have hella pride livin in The View. I went to elementary school right around the corner from where IMP used to record. I think the studio was called Bankroll studios. Me and my nigga J-WAN from UNLV used to walk pass the studio and into Oceanview Gym everyday.Lou-E Lou from IMP used to coach us as youngstas, so he gave us all that IMP shit. Coug even put my nigga Wan on the beginnin of Cougnuts "Jealosy" intro when we was in 5th or 6th grade. I remember when he did it. Every house party in the View back in the day, you were guranteed to hear some Coug blastin. Thats when the View was deep and together, every block from Cain street, Lobos, OV Park, The Dolph, Broad Street,And all the crazy azz youngstas from Aptos. niggas had on 200 block jackets & Louis Vitton jackets for the (LV). .IMP had it crackin, then Cellski dropped Mr Predictor, the View was solid. People dont know that Coug could hoop, the nigga had major hops. If Coug was here Im pretty sure he wouloda been major.
