Cornel West set to speak at forum in Oakland 3/4/06

Rep. Barbara Lee D-Oakland ,scholars Cornel West and community advocate Angela Glover Blackwell (among others) will take part in a town hall discussion Saturday morning on the top 10 isssues facing african americans.

The 9am forum at Allen Temple Baptist Church 8501 International Blvd in Oakland will focus on health ,housing,crime,education,the enviroment,justice,economic parity and other concerns.

I went and saw him speak when he came to Akron. This cat is on point it would definitly be worth admission.

He is an interesting person and worth hearing in person, imo. I dont agree with a lot of his politics of course, but still makes good points.
