Cool Edit Question

i got a problem with cool edit. Whenever i try to record in multilayer. Ill have the beat on layer one and then i create a mixdown on layer 2. then when i hit record, instead of recording, it erases everyting from layer 2 leavin a blank space. Can anyone tell me what the fucks goin on?

are you sure you dont have the record on layer 1? make sure only the red (R) record is highlighted on layer 2,or wich ever layer you wanna record on...


peep these too songs i did on cool edit..let me know what u think..they hella ghetto tho..lol..i need work on my mixin/master! and a new mic would help
