contesting a citation

If u contest a citation does it push back the date u have to pay the city? Im supposed to pay by the 20th and Im gonna contest it tomorrow. So would contesting it push back the date for me to pay it?

i agree with cockblocker i'm pretty sure it will hold it off but mostlikely the officer wont even show up N then it will go in favor of you well depending on the citation. seen it happen before.

Also The officer made me and my passengers lift up our shirts to see if we had "gang tats" and i was recently told, that they cant do that. so maybe i can use that in my advantage.

pay on the spot???...is that true becuase i got a speeding ticket and i go to court on the 17th and amma say 'not guilty' and get another court date and if the cop dont show up it will be dissmissed...

now i know if the pig does show up i guess am fucked but i didnt know about the pay'n on the spot part...is that true...???...

and do cops show up most of the time or what...anyone know...

He may or may not show up, but by contesting it, and losing ( assuming he shows up ), you have to pay on that day you show up to court.
