Niners #2 with 3.7 GPA...the offseason has been perfect except for Norv Turner leaving..

Interesting. No one really knows shit though because it takes three years to grade an NFL draft class fairly. Still interesting to read what "experts" think though.

For example, da bears in 2004 were highly criticized immediately after their draft:

Tommie Harris, First round, 14th overall, (started as rookie, Pro Bowl after second season)
Nathan Vasher, Fourth round, 110th overall, (started as rookie, Pro Bowl after second season)
Bernard Berrian, Third round, 78th overall (#1 WR)
Tank Johnson, Second round, 47th overall (currently in jail! But fuck it, he's a solid player)

Three years later and they are giving an A- for that years draft.

These "experts" don't work for NFL teams. If Mel Kiper was that smart, he would've been hired by a long time ago.

Did you really just say that?

Every NFL team has anywhere from 6-10 people dedicated strictly to college football and by default, the NFL Draft. That is 100% of their job description, they could spend all Sunday in church and it wouldn't affect their work. The Seahawks alone have 8 men who prepare for the NFL Draft year round.

If Mel was anything more than a flashy media personality, if he really was a superior talent evaluator, he would've been hired to one of the 250+ jobs in the NFL doing precisely what he does. I'm not saying the man is an idiot or just an Average Joe, but there are hundreds of other opinions on the NFL Draft that I'd rather have than his.

And besides, evaluating a draft on draft day is really the sign of a very immature and inexperienced fan.
