CONCORD -- A woman was shot to death Friday and police are seeking her boyfriend in connection with the case.
At 3:18 p.m., police found 37-year-old Concord resident Lea Aikens with gunshot wounds inside an apartment on Mohr Lane. She died at the scene, said Concord police Lt. Steve Dyer.
Police issued a search for Aiken's boyfriend, Nathan Ellry Noel, whom they believe is a suspect in the killing.
Noel, 34, is of mixed race, 5 feet 7 inches tall, of medium build, with short, curly, dark hair and was last seen wearing a white and blue shirt. He left the scene in a 2004 silver Infiniti G-35 with gold trim, with California license plate 5HLZ110, Dyer said.
Police believe Noel is armed and dangerous and may be suicidal. His current whereabouts were unknown late Friday, police said.
Police continue to investigate the incident. They ask anyone with information about the suspect to call the police department at 925-671-3220 or any local law enforcement agency.
