HAS ANYONE WHO HAS LIMEWIRE EXPERIENCED ANY VIRUSES OR SHIT LIKE THAT FROM DOWNLOADING MUSIC AND SHIT? I WANT TO GET LIMEWIRE BUT I HEARD THAT THAT SHIT HAS VIRUSES AND OTHER B.S. IS IT TRUE?

ive had limewire for a while and i have never got a virus from it yet. you just have to watch out for what you are downloading. and make sure to never touch files that are very small or are an "exe" type file.

yeah just dont download videos to be on the safe side...ive had limewire for like 3 years on like 5 different computers and none of them got viruses....and i introduced it to a couple of other homies and none of them got any

for music only download mp3, wma, ogg, wav.
for videos only download wmv mpeg mpg mov ogg avi (and iso/bin if they burn as compliant)
for pictures jpg jpeg gif png bmp .

for wma/wmv make sure you dont agree to any license/software installations that you are asked about and youll be fine. definately dont download con, bat, exe, pif, etc.etc. theres more but stick with the list above and you shouldnt have any problems.

someone on here gave out the link to get the advanced version...but it was when they had private posts so only people with over 300 posts could see it....luckly i had just enough and now i have advanced or whatever its called

actually yeah thats what i graduated to. torrents are where the fuck its at. you get albums months in advance. you get all the latest movies for free. for sure. fuck everything but azureus and your move site!!

Torrents are no different from Morpheus, Limewire, etc.
Bunch of Peers Sharing shit.
Except Torrents have less viruses/spyware.
I remember downloading a movie off morpheus and it ended up being a porno.
