i want to add a third hard drive to my computer, but it doesn't look like i have another hard drive slot. if i unplug one of my cd drives, can i put a third hard drive in its place???

^^i looked, and they're more expensive per gigabyte. AND i heard they're slower...that is definately an option though, thanks for advice redstorm.

Externals arent that slow, works just like a regular hard drive, you can put programs on em just like your hard drives you use now. Plus they're cool if you share a computer with other people you can use it just for when you're on the computer, hide the usb cable or something an nobody can fuck with your files.

yes you can as long as you have enough hard drive hookups on the motherboard. you will need a mounting bracket for the hard drive because the cd drive space is obviously bigger than a hard drive. i would look into a firewire hard drive though, i got one and i can't notice a difference.

I GOT A OLD COMPUTER AND I GOT BUNCH OF SHIT IN THERE LIKE MUSIC BUT THAT COMPUTER IS FUCKED UP SO CAN I TAKE OUT THE HARDDRIVE AND PUT IT IN MY CURRENT COMPUTER? WILL MY FILES STILL BE IN THERE?

I installed it on my exsisting installation of XP with no problems. So there is a stand alone app you can use for it. Do a google on it. It aint all that though. Nero 7 comes with a media center very similar to XP's. It's available ALL OVER THE NET. In fact , that's what I currently use. No complaints here . I hope you aint bought XP Media center yet.
