to be honest

i would actually like to find a young unknown artist that has the ability to not only make good music(good voice, delivery, etc.) that appeals to the masses, but understands their job description and sticks to it soley. one that understands it isnt a get rich quick scheme. one that defines the music, the music doesnt define them. one that understands that the behind the scene moves are just as important, if not more important, than the music itself. one that understands that there are overhead costs associated with an investment that needs to be recouped before any money for them is made. one that's willing to listen and stay humble. but do you know how hard it is to find that in a young artist? most think its as easy as buying pro-tools and a mic and they are gonna make it happen. i dont need anybody mentality.alot have trouble scraping together the chicken scratch needed to press 1,000 cds, flyers, and posters. it would be nothing to drop 20 racks on a project, 40 on the next, etc. but at my direction. i doubt selling 3,000 cds would be an issue considering the number of people in california alone. it's all in the approach but most dont allow themselves the opportunity. most just want the little fame and their content. i wouldnt work with people that have already released projects because they probably would have it figured out and try to tell me what to do with my money. but i'm dreaming, i know.

i am a bay area representative and hate to see other regions get more shine when i know talent isnt the issue.

to be honest i was just trying to make an interesting thread lol.

but i guess a lot of people on here think like you do or atleast the people posting so far.

what you are doing though is stereotyping rappers. talking about 99.9 percent of rappers get the fuck out of here with that exxagerated nonsense.

with your lil condesending attitude i couldn't see any intelligent artists wanting to fuck with you and your "direction".

you sound like one of those misinformed thinking you know it all mofos that wanted to be a rapper at some point and didn't make it.

So now you think you know what it takes to guide someone to the promise land.

i think its kinda of obvious that no one has the answers. oh, and i know alot more than you think. you must fit the catagory if it bothers you. you want to know who i support: e-40, mr.fab, done deal, jacka, frontline, erk the jerk, balance now, fuck, help me out. anyone else you think worth supporting nowadays?

edit: you proved my point.

i i doubt selling 3,000 cds would be an issue considering the number of people in california alone. .
let me ask you a question smarty pants since you know so much more than i think you do.

have you ever sold 1 cd?

whose? where? when?

do you have a label?

do you have distribution?

can you provide strategic product placement?

what do you have to offer aside from the ability to talk about money, that may only exist in your imagination, and a list of commands to bark from your high horse?

talking about im a bay representative and in the same breath saying only five camps in the bay have game and are worth supporting.

man that shows how lil you know right there. There's a lot more strong and thriving camps out here in the bay than 5.

oh yah 1 more question WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?

like i said, who I support. i didnt say there arent more with knowledge. oh yeah, j. diggs for his gangsterism. i dont need to prove or explain to you what, who, etc. if what i'm saying is incorrect someone i'm sure will correct me. distribution wouldnt be an issue, i can assure you that though.
